View Full Version : What are you going to do once you get the game ?
Hi everyone :D
I've already asked this question before Legend's release , no it's the time for Anniversary :)
-Pick one of the followings : :)
Once you'll get the game , you'll :
1) Play in the mansion .
2) Start new game .
3) See and setup the settings . And then you play in the mansion.
4) See and setup the settings . And then you start new game .
I personally choose the third one , what about you ? :)

3)To see if we have new controls and to set the graphics. After that I will go in the mansion.:)
4) See and setup the settings . And then you start new game. and after two levels, I'll then explor the mansion.
4) See and setup the settings . And then you start new game .
3 but I'll probably go straight to the mansion too see if its Manor or Mansion.
First of all:
"OMG!!! I got it."" *jumps and rolls all over the house* then... :jmp:
3) See and setup the settings . And then you play in the mansion
:wve:
Play the game, I never go into the settings screen when I first start a game.
3 or 4. Depends if CD is going to have "unlockable areas" in the mansion again. That was annoying in Legend :(

:wve:
:vlol: I guess it will be the same here :jmp:
You don't want to know what I do when I get a new TR game... :whi:
But most likely 1. I always play around in the mansion first, without even looking at the settings. Then I decide if I need to change the settings after seeing how the controls work in the mansion. ;)
Go straight into the game. Then, if the camera is not working correctly, go into the settings to invert the movements.
Other than that I don't bother with the control settings.
The mansion is something I'm not that bothered with, so I'll look at it right at the end usually.
You don't want to know what I do when I get a new TR game... :whi:
Can you show me, ONLY for me?? :mis:
1, so i can figure out the controlls and see the graphics :)
I'll just start a new game. I'll only adjust the settings if I'm playing on my parents' fancy LCD TV.

first? I would jump, shout and much more out that I have TRA :D :jmp:
then 1) and then 2
5) Read the instruction booklet while in the bus
then
3) I will set up auto-grab off, ICs off, Lara's voice off, grapple off, shining off, constant music off... and finally enjoy myself in the old classic mansion.

:D
Numero tres fro me :)
I always go to the options screen first & then to the mansion.
Mess around in the Mansion (hopefully the Classic one!) alter the settings so autograb is most definitely OFF, and have fun for a while before starting the game :yah:

The exact same thing I did when playing TR1 for the first time (actually I also did this the very first time I played a TR game)- go to the mansion to check out the controls and do a little practice for about 10 minutes. Then it's GAME ON! :D
4) See and setup the settings . And then you start new game.
^^
4)
Altho I always prefer to play the game with the default controls and overall default options before experimenting.
Default is how a game is suposed to be played anyway...

I'll put it on my cd-drive and pray it works. If it does, I'll install and start with the mansion.

Jump to see if they improved laras jumping height and distance, and run to see if they sped her up.
1 - Optimise the audio/video settings then turn off autograb (hopefully)
2 - Spend half an hour muckin' round in Croft Manor
3 - Play the game proper for another half an hour
4 - Optimise the audio/video settings further
5 - Restart playing the game proper

I guess I'll start exploring the mansion for a few minutes and then start the game!
Put it under my flatscreen monitor to raise it a few cm's for a more desirable viewing height?
Option 4, but before I'll have enjoyed the main screen & music for a long moment.... :)

2- Start the game...then, when I get to Atlantis, I may test the mansion...or it can wait until I finish the real adventure. I´m not really keen on the mansion, I consider every level to be more important than the mansion, but I surely enjoy it.
Imma stop playing the game in Atlantis. It freaks me out too much. It was traumatizing playing it as a child.
1.Setup>Disable autograb XD
2.play mansion
3.Play real thing. :D

Hmm, let's see. Turn on the tv and PS2. Put the disk in and start a new game.
I didn't know about Lara's home until I was halfway through the original, haha. I only checked the booklet when I got to the room in Vilcabamba where you have to push the first block and didn't know how to do that. :D
Hope for the best ; Expect the worst.
I'll definatly check the options and configure it to how I like it.
I'll stand out woolworths until they open the doors, once they are open I'll rush in and get the first copy, pay at the counter, and walk out of the doors followed by a sprint home :jmp: Burst through the front door after unlocking it, up the stairs, kicking of my shoes as soon as i arrive in my room. I will then rip violently through the wrapping, taking the CD once finished ripping away the wrapping and slowly lower into my PS2 disc bay, hoping to god it works and watch as the screen brightens with a warm glow. Whilst waiting I'll mash the buttons, press start as soon as the prompt is up and click new game whilst ignoring all other amazing wonders spinning around my head :D

3 and I think I'm going to be so engaged to the mansion that I'll forget about the game itself.
they should release a dolls house tr......
this is depressing lol
The game should have you excited, you should want to see the Caves?
:-)
3 and I think I'm going to be so engaged to the mansion that I'll forget about the game itself.
If there is stuff to do in the Mansion. In Legend there was practically nothing. I liked the mansion in appearance but not in style. No replay value at all.
Example:
1, When I find the guns, when I replay the mansion, I'll already have them. In normal levels, you'd have to find that weapon again.
2, When I unlock a door, when I replay, it's already opened. In ordinary levels, you'd have to re-open it.

With Legend I didn't play the mansion at all until I beat Peru. So, I'll proably do either 2 or 4 first. I would like to change the settings to "no hints," "no auto grab," (is that official), and "very hard." And then, I'll play. So, I guess that would mean 4...

I'll buy it when I see it:D Both the PSP and PS2 versions:D And I'll preorder the japanese version when available at YesAsia.com (www.yesasia.com) like I did with Legend:D!!! Lara sounds cool in japanese:p

O SNAP I'm in the wrong thread XD But yeah what he said:D
This kinds of short and light gallap-survey is not bad on the forum
which too many ppl came into. Actually, I'd like many and always time
to make survery but I'm not a MOD here. So I don't know why Admin & MOD
make here the place boring. Make a poll about Everything!!!
(But important to asking detailly. Dull asking come back Dull answer.)
Much the better. Especially, concerning each taste of TR.
In this question, that's quite my taste is different between "before TRL",
and "after TR_04". There is no Lara's home after TR_03. You know?
So everybody's disappointment increasing after TR_04!!! This is
very important point of TR. Should very listen carefully on me.
So I was everytime in Lara's home at that time. But now this
Lara's home comming back in TR_07. I don't play there anymore.
Why? Answer is The simple!!! Make me Boring!!! Exciting mean...
Sometime become happening Fight on the forum. Yeh~ Everybody
already seen it before. Anyway I need more interesting. Lara's home not
exiting area to anymore in TR_07. That's mean Lara home is SAME!!!
like the level in TR_07... This is not a TombRaider original teaste...
You know? Rather I'm playing in Japan level so much time
as a Lara's home now, after seeing a ending of TR_07. Why?
There are so many thing interesting!!! Shooting, Vehicle!!!
Musics, Talking, Some Verriety, and sometime Alccole too?!?! :cln:
So this time also making (especially) Lara's home was totally fail.
Make Lara's home more exciting and more interesting like that (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=1554937&postcount=58).
Plz~ Plz~ If you don't have any idea,
just copy TR_03 exactly to future TR.
Rather Everybody like it.

"constant music" is what? You mean the Back-music or back sound effect
during the game? And what do you think about "Everything going to go the
menu-options" Is that good? Everything is will be go option!!! Many option
do you like? So very complicate to select... but no much complain to need...
I'm just going to start to play, after the two first levels I can take a "break" and explore the mansion.
mansion, the start new game. i'll learn the settings as i go along.

Number 2 :tmb:
I'm going to start a brand new game, rush through the Caves and City of Valcabala until I get to the Lost Valley level, quickly solve the cog puzzle then enter the jungle of the Valley, dispatch the raptors - then STARE IN AWE AT MY TV!!!!! :yik: :D
Then I'll leave her to get chomped by the T-REX, just for old times sake ;)
I think I'll just take it out of the package and weep with joy for a while...
1) Play in the mansion then play the main game :D
start new game, set up the options and then after a few hard* levels, go to the mansion, that's how it's always been for me, it'd like a tradition:D

10-02-07, 21:11
go to her manor and jump off the stairs to see how the deaths have been changed, from the stupid blackouts to the full colour,neck-snapping fun that is the neck breaker.....:D
Rip open the packaging, stick the DVD in my PC drive and install it, then put all the graphics setting to max, turn the autograb off and change some of the controls. Then jump into the mansion. I want to hear Lara say 'I guess it's time for me to take off these wet clothes' again :vlol:, although somehow I don't think she will.

Actually I am not sure if she will say that because I doubt they will make the training level/Mansion finish at the pool.
3) See and setup the settings. And then you play in the mansion.
First I want to know how this balance thing works before I fall off in the main game :D

Me too, they might be able to use it, I am not sure, because I think we will be able to explore the Mansion as much as we want and not have to go back to the Main Menu.

Oh I agree that they shouldn't chuck you back to the Main Menu like in TR1, but they should get it in there all the same.
Somehow

#3 l always like to start with the mansion, even if all the doors are locked, l like to see what has changed. And l will be very interested to know this time which mansion it is going to be
3) See and setup the settings. And then play in the mansion.
It's an habit of mine, whenever I buy a new game the first things I do is check up its settings and options. And if the mansion is there for training I don't understand why I should play it after beating the game... :whi:

Agree. I always do that. But I hope you don't have to play the first level like in Legend to be able to open doors in the mansion. I hope the mansion is the training level and a mansion you can snoop around in. I also hope this mansion has WAY more rooms than Croft Manor. Four Rooms, the main rooms and two secret passage-ways... Exciting, but not the best I've seen.

Gonna be fine to see the changes in mansion first, to not lose nothing in the game...
Cause i hope gonna be hard and new secrets and locations to explore!
The hard party in legend is find the Rewards, so, now, gonna be find keys etc...
Probably fiddle with the settings, check in the mansion if the settings are good, fiddle with them again, check, fiddle, check, fiddle, and then play the Mansion.
So yeah 3 :p
I'll probably play the first level, and then go to the mansion.

i guess i would do the same,.. but i wont play it long,..
i will just run around just to get familiar whith the house, and then jump automaticaly, after running every possible and able door and room, into the game...
i cant wait any longer,........................................... ..........!!!!!
