I just installed AIM and Zone alarm went crazy at the idea, I got the prompt wether to allow it access or not, mouse went crazy and I clicked on deny access by accident. Now I can't get AIM unblocked. It's user face is totally unfriendly and I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I asked for help but it told me I could unblock it by right clicking but as you can see thats not possible :( Help?

Go into program control, click the Programs tab and look for AIM in the list. Once you find it, click on the 'Trust Level' bar and set it to Super. Then click on the access and server tabs and allow them all.

Could you print screen your program list? I have the Pro version so it might be slightly different.

Zone Alarm has a very poor interface and its judgement of which programs are safe and which aren't is incredibly inaccurate.

That's why I use AntiVir Guard. :cln:

Why is it? I am quite a security conscious person and I have been using it for years and had no problems.

Do as jamie said: "Go into program control, click the Programs tab and look for AIM in the list."

But from here try this: When you find AIM entry next to it you should be seeing red X marks (blocked). Left click on each red X and change it to green V marks (allow). Then try connecting with AIM again.

Do all that... and think to go Pro (Zone Alarm Pro). It's much more flexible :tmb:
