Well I started this thread to discuss what that line really meants and what is your opinions about it.
Mine is that Natla is saying to her that she already did that before(Bigfoot,Himalaya,etc...)And she can do it again. But that is My opinion. And what about yours?
I agree with that.Maybe they intentionally said that like a easter egg.U know since it's a remake, like:"This has all been done before".Get my point?Remaking the original.Doing it all over again.Kinda:D ;)
i was so sure people would start a thread like this,.. ja ja jaja,...
what she means is that, she is not only hiring her for some dumb mission,.. she is hiring her because thats the kind of adventure she is into .. the kind of game she likes,.. really threatening enviroments full of danger and losts from any human presens in centuries,.. and that helps in the same time as an easter egg as you have for sure already played the original or because you know it is a remake

Lara is a very famous and well known character for her adventures...
that's why Natla needed a girl like her...
a girl who has experience
Yes. I wouldn't call that an easter egg, but a very strong subtle line with a double meaning. :)
I thought of it that way.:)

Still,I think it's kinda of saying to the fans:"You've done this before".

That's what I thought in the beginning and I still think it that way.
So we all agree about that? YAY! Harmony! :jmp:

I also agree that "It's a game you've played before" is a double reference, both to Lara being an accomplished adventurer and the game being a remake :)

That's what I'm talking about!:D
I think it means that when lara says "i only PLAY for sport" natla says "you've PLAYED this GAME/SPORT" before so it kinda means that natla thinks lara knows the rules and how to play this so called game/adventure...if you get what i mean....i mean if you want someone to help you win monopoly....you get an expert....lol:D
I agree with that.Maybe they intentionally said that like a easter egg.U know since it's a remake, like:"This has all been done before".Get my point?Remaking the original.Doing it all over again.Kinda:D ;)
I think the same thing. Just like:
Some times to understand your present, you have to go back, to your past, and this time things will be different.
There's definitely a twist in Natla's words. An easter egg, along with a reference about Lara's adventures
I think what Natla is saying is for this Trailer Only, but when we get the Game, it will be an FMV with a total direction in Conversation.

Both of these are my thoughts.:) Just stick them together and that's what I was going to say.
I think its a great line - a nod to the past (for players obviously) and a reference to her reputation as a great tomb raider! :D

well... Lara's parents dissowned her because she changed the way she wanted to live, she had to write books about her travels which made her famous, Natla obviously found out about this and that was why she said the line.

Yeah.
Agreed with Catlantean too !
I love this sentence... :)
That line has a double meaning IMO. And it could just be a line for the trailer.
I think its used as a double entendre(I know I murdered the spelling). Essentially, its a very well crafted phrase thats meant to have a variety of meanings depending on the audience. Veterans will more than likely see it as an easter egg. Newer players will more than likely see it as a storytelling device.

Man.. no offense, but don't you all get it...
In the game, what Natla meant is that Lara had so many experience in adventuring, "You've played this game before" - you have ventured in so many dangerous places before, thats what she is trying to imply.
But also they have made that phrase just for fun to tell us 'TR Fans' that we have played this game before becuz its a remake of the original...
this is unbelievable,.. 3 pages only to say what we all think,.. and,,.. not really to disagree,.. all of us have been trying to say exsactly the same thing with different words.... plain boring,.. j aj aja ja,... its great to know that we all think the same,.. and even better to writte different,..;)
I think it means that she is a Tomb Raider and she knows how to play the game.
