Mine happened earlier tonight. I could chew nails right now! :hea:

I was playing Major League Baseball 2k7 on my 360. Great, great game. I've been playing this game a lot since buying it with no problems. So, I'm playing game 2 of my season as the Baltimore Orioles. Okay, the O's are an average team at best, but they're my home town team. I'm playing against the Boston Red Sox, one of the best teams in the league. I'm locked in a classic struggle where the lead changes hands about 4 times. We go into extra innings tied 5-5. Well, in the 10th inning I get the first two guys on base and then crack the game winning 3-run home run with Miguel Tejada! O's win 8-5!!! :D

But wait. It never really happened. Nope... because the damn game froze on me--first time ever since I've owned it--right when I tried to go back to the Main Menu to save my season progress! I am so disgusted right now! :hea: :hea: :hea:

I became frustrated just reading that. I feel your pain. Right now I'm playing LoTR: The Third Age. I'm stuck fighting the Mumakil. I only get one turn per about 5 turns against that damn thing and by the time I have a chance to do anything, all but one of my party members are dead and she's barely with it:mad:

I've been playing Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and I can't seem to get past one damn camera! I can't shoot it -- it's armoured. I can't run past it -- it moves. I can't go a different route -- there are more cameras. Grrrrr!!! Maybe there could be a vent in one of the storage closets...

When I played Ryu Ga Gotoku 2 (Yakuza 2) last night. The game is in Japanese so I didn't understand a word. So frustrating to not be able to play one of my most wanted games just becasue the first didn't sell well in the US . I hope the sequel will come to Europe soon so I can play it with English text.

I'm playing Trauma Centre: Under the Knife on the Nintendo DS and I can't get past the man with the aneurisms! They just keep on popping up then literally popping!I'm so stuck and I know if I hand it to my sibling they could do it in a flash but then all I'll get it "I did it before you!" :hea: I could never be a real doctor!

I remember the GTA flight school missions ><

Specifically, I remember the heartache of trying to get all gold medals. I made it eventually (and got the Apache helicopter for my efforts) but I'm still not quite sure how I managed to avoid throwing the PS2 out of the window along the way :D

I haven't bought many new games lately, so I've avoided too much game-related stress. The most pain I've ever felt though is undoubtedly Resident Evil 4's Professional Mode. It was the toughest thing I've ever played, my number of restarts must have easily been into three figures :hea:

The incredibly frustrating controls in sonic and the secret rings for the wii. Alot of the time I dont feel in control. This isn't a sonic game. You have more freedom and control in the 2D sonic games. You cant control running forward at all, which just doesn't feel good imo. There's too much trial and error. Those who own the game know what I mean. You run really fast, jump, try to avoid obstacles, kill enemies and try not to die. You die alot and really its all about memorising where stuff is.

My most recent gaming frustration was on God of War a year or so ago.

Christ, I remember that bit too. I got so close to the top, saw the ledge and made an ill-advised and poorly-timed leap to freedom. Of course, I hit a blade and had to watch as Kratos fell right back to the bottom, and ten minute's hard work washed down the drain

Morrowind. One of the fighters guild quests, where you have to go down into Vas and kill the necromancers. I spent hours finding the place, getting to it, and once I get down there I realize my weapons do nothing because I've been spending all my time getting weapon skills up instead of spells, and the necromancers can only be killed by spells!!

Trying to win the second horse race in Ocarina of Time. :hea:

It's not that bad, but I saved with only 30 rupees and you have to pay 50 per race, so every time I lose the race, I have to run around collecting rupees, which is really hard at this point, because there aren't many around.

That's not exactly correct. As I recall, you can use enchanted weapons as well. I never used a spellcaster in all of my Morrowind characters and killed them with weapons every time.

Well in gaming I have'nt had a frustrating gaming moment exept when I played Legend 5 moths ago and the game froze two times and made horrible loud sounds. But the most frustrating moment was when I bought by accident The Settlers Expansion disc about 2 and half months ago while I just now bought the original.

Then I'm a little confused. I checked into enchanting the sword I'm using... but it appears that the enchanter will only put a spell effect that you already know as a regular casting spell. And since I don't have any, I couldn't put any enchants on my sword.
So do I just need to go out and buy a sword with a cast on strike damage spell and keep it around for such occasions?

Yes, I always used a weapon with added fire/frost/lightning damage etc. You can buy or find such a weapon, you do not have to get it custom made.

I like the way the spells are designed, so that you can only use the spells that you "purchase".

Well, lets see here. I am in the midst of playing KOTOR2. I get several objectives done, and come upon an issue between a few people that will either give darkside points or lightside points in the end. Incidently, the game procedes into the classic, speedy convo, where I haven't any clue what anyone is saying or whats going on, and I can't recall what happens at this part from playing the game previous. As far as I know, its something knew I've come across. I think I am choseing the right convos, but in the end, suddenly, I have darkside points and have no option but to kill everyone cause they are attacking me. I go to reload my game and try again. I haven't saved since I started the level. DOH!

The end of game face off against Torn King of the Trolls in Kameo was sooo annoying, all you had to do was play Thermite and bomb him a million times over, kill Kalus and that's it!!! - BUT - Thorn's HP bar regenerates just when he's nearly dead so you have to repeat the same thing over and over - plus the game has a terrible ani-climax, is there ever going to be a sequel?! :hea:

The final fight against the Master at the end of Buffy was a shockingly cheap boss fight, he was sooo easy I felt cheated... but at the same time annoyed and frustrated :(

And THAT battle with Ursula in Kingdom Hearts annoyed me, ALOT!!! :hea: :hea:

The interactive cutscenes in Resident Evil 4 (on hard mode). I don't know, I just really don't like ICs. If there are some, they should be reasonably challenging, but Resi 4's are so hard you can't focus on what's happening during the cutscenes at all because you're constantly waiting for some button prompt to flash up. Other than that, it's a brilliant game, the best I've played in a long time.

Amen to that. RE4's quick timer events make the Legend ones look like a joke. The knife-fight FMV against Krauser took me a long time to get past in Professional Mode... *sigh*

I've just come downstairs from playing Monster Hunter, and I'm in a bad mood. Here's what happened: lately, I've been trying to beat the Liver of Legend quest, and I've done good, but I keep dying. Basically, today I got [I]soooo[/I close: 2 livers out of 3. I was starting to think I'd make it: but then my cool drink expired I didn't have another, so I was forced to try to kill another one, and fast, or cook to death. FFXII - Yiazmat. Oh god, what kind of a boss battle is this!? 50,000,000 HP!? And even at level 99 and some of the best equipment in the game, he still puts up a tough fight, now that I've got him down to his last 12,000,000 HP he's totally using 6-8 combo attacks and obliterating my characters faster than I can revive, heal, and buff up. Poor Fran, Ashe, and Balthier, they do more reviving than attacking. :( Not only that but you pretty much have to follow the boring basic routine: attack, revive, heal, runaway, attack, revive, heal, runaway, etc. Square Enix are being cheap with their secret Bosses. :hea:

One frustrating moment for me (which happened more than once) is when I pressed "save" rather than "load" when playing some games. Sometimes one would overwrite a "good" save with a "bad" one, as I was usually trying to go back to a point prior to my screw-up. After hitting the wrong key, I would then be stuck in a lousy situation. :(
