.. has not been announced by Eidos. Until Eidos officially announces a release date, everything else is purely speculation.
Please do not waste my time and yours creating threads about a release date until one has been officially announced.

Hey Bud,
So is EB Games/Gamestop wrong? I already paid for the game in advance. And the store manager has it in the computer as of May 29 th. for $29.00 dollars. Is that just an estimate? He told me he would call me as soon as UPS dropped off the boxes to the store. Is EB Games wrong? Or is that just some sort of educated guess on EB Gamess' part? :hea: :jmp:
I'd really like to know. (***On a side note, if you trade in your Gears of War Collectors editon version, you might just have enough to pay for the pre-order on Anniversary Tomb Raider.):tea:

Oooh, we have an Eidos member! Welcome! I don't mind the release date of the game. I really want a demo, I wish the demo will be released this month and not a week before the release of the game.:)

I thinks it's stupid. This may sound rude, but if you're not sure wether you can release a game on a certain date or not, than don't announce a date at all!!
They all had us thinking it would be released in April by releasing an official month. Then they go and delay it. I just think it's a sign of arrogance, it's like they know we'll buy the game anyway, so why even bother sticking to the promised release date? I know they probably don't mean it like that. But that's how it comes across.
On the other hand, I'd rather have CD delaying it, than have them releasing a half-finished game ;). So I get it. But still it's not a nice thing to do. It's better not to release a date at all when you're not sure if you're able to finish the game by then.
And I hope to god it really isn't going to be June/July, cause that's 4/5 months from now (including May).
I'm almost 100% certain it will be released on 25th May.

1st of all- a game store wont stock a game until the company releases it- no matter what the store says as far as a date. And If the store said it'll be available to you on May 29- then you could just as easily get it on the right day as you could get it 3 weeks late. all a store can ever do is give an educated guess
As TLR said- no official release date... then what Kier - from EIDOS- said... it will be out sometime in May, the exact date is not known.
process of elimination- May 29th is the last possible release date in May, so i think you are good. (at least inthe states- games are released on tuesdays)

Cool. It may be still a bit far, but it's the best time to be released for me, cause I'll be really busy with exams for the next 4 months.
Say, will there be a collector's edition (with metal case), or I can just pre-order the normal version from play?

No. Keir's post was edited as a joke:p Keir said that it will be out in May, there is not an official release date yet, but we'll be the first to hear about it when it is announced :)

So long as the game comes sometime before November (otherwise the anniversary year would have passed by already) then I'm cool about the release date. Being a Final Fantasy fan has made me a patient person :p

i have preordered mine from amazon.co.uk for £24.99 on the PS2. and it says may 30th. cant really get much later in may so in theory, i could get an email from them, saying the release date has been brought forward. YAY!!!!

Oh ok. :o Sorry, I though that March was 3 months away from May and 4 months away from June. 25th might as well be June so its nearly 3-4 months. But the 2 months and 16 days makes it all sound soo much better than 3 - 4 months. Thanks.
