Is their any word on if they stay yet?

*Crosses fingers* i hope they stay!

If anyone knows:
Do they have enough money to make them stay?

So, i'm guessing you are not into the enemies blinking out of existence, rather than vanishing or staying. Now I won't be able to laugh at that phenomenon....... (*satire)

It would be cool if they stayed, certainly more realistic.

They better stay, that's the way its suppose to be:cool:

Unfortunitly i think its pretty much been proven that they disappear when they die cause there was an article stating that there was a cog in a wolf's stomach and in the first trailer it shows one wolf where there is usually two at the bottom of the waterfall with a cog there.

Agreed. But I don't think it's soooo necessary.

I hope they stay too! It helped me not get lost in the original. :D

I´d love to see the bodies staying...but I understand that it´d require lots of memory...and it´d be better used when expanding the levels and puzzles (I might have been cheated) :D

The corpses aren't staying. I think that may already be proven with the cog in wolf's belly thing already discussed from a while back. Since it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, however, I'm hoping they stay too. It's more realistic and nice little detail carried over from the original. :)

I think the same thing :)

The Corpses have never stayed in any TR game. For once, I think it would be a good idea to have this new feature of corpses staying, just like the wall-run was. Can't complain about a new feature, can we?

Are you sure? I could have sworn the corpses stayed in TR1.

They stayed in TR 1-3. ;)

Me too.. ? o_o And TR2 and TR3 also, not sure about TR4(haven't played TR5-6, but in Legend the disappearing was instant. Well, mercenaries were boring anyways, though I loved kicking them.. :p).. Hmh.

I understand if it takes too much memory to make wolves and bears and other enemies stay in Anniversary, but it really would be a pity if the T-Rex just disappeared after killing it.. Think, all the effort and then it just vanishes away! I sure hope it doesn't happen. :(

The corpses did stay in TR1. As for TR2 and TR3, the corpses were supposed to stay too but sometimes little gliches would make them disappear suddenly, especially in TR3. It would usually happen when you turn around (when the corpse is off screen) and you turn back and POOF! Gone. Nothing. Maybe this only happens in my games. I dunno.

I would prefer the dead enemy bodies to stay. But I wouldnt mind too much if they didnt.

With the memory purge technology that allows them to push high amounts of polygons I'd imagine it would be almost impossible.

RAID

They should stay. They're talking about pushing the PS2 beyond the limits, they can find a way around this, besides TR1 didn't have as many enemies as Legend.

Personally, I don't really care. Either way is fine.

I have a really hard time believing that they'd have so much problem with memory if corpses staid. But I don't really care much.

Not just like Legend. Like The Last Revelation, Chronicles, The Angel of Darkness, and Legend.

I hope they stay, by the way. :)

I mean even ten years back the corpses stayed. But if it's for memory..STILL I think they should stay. They said they had a new loading system right? They should take advantage of that.

And what's with the wolf and the cog thing:confused:

da tomb raider!

I don't really care, but if there's going to be some pointless "realistic" features in Anniversary like there was in Legend, this feature should be in it. :wve:

One of the magazine articles mentioned that in the Lost Valley, we would find one of the cogs "in the belly of a wolf." Apparently you have to kill a certain wolf to get that cog. I suspect that this means the corpse will vanish and a cog will appear, although I hope corpses stay.

I think bodies staying is alright like for instance the dinosaurs but the humans should disappear. Of course the mummies and atlantean mutants will desintigrate by themselves so no need to worry about that:jmp:

the corpses should stay because 1) it looks very realistic and atmospheric. 2) they stayed there in TR1 and 3) it would look quite scary mabe.

And I can easily imagine CD saying:
"We can't do that because of the amount of memory space, it would just make the game very slow"

For goodness sakes, I mean, they stayed there in TR1 and that's on ps1 so there is absolutly no excuse for the bodies not to stay unless it's too scary.

Little boy, do you work at Crystal Dynamics or any other development studio for that matter? If this is sooo easy to accomplish as you're making it out to be, then why wasn't it in TRs 4, 5, & 6? If you don't know what you're talking about, then you should keep your mouth shut.

As for the topic, I really don't care if they stay or not. IMO, the only enemies that should stay once they're dead are the T-Rex & Natla

I don't really care. In most of the Tomb Raider's it dissappeared. I don't think it matters.

I dunno how hard it would be for CD to make tjhe corpses stay, even if you finsih the level and go back to see them still there, that would be poretty cool :p otherwise i'm not botherd, aslong as the game is awsome :jmp:

I would end up replaying so much that I would have rooms full of wolves, haha.

They should at least stay for a brief period until you leave the area.. that couldn't affect the memory too much could it?

i would be really cool if they stayed but it would muck the place up say if you had to solve a puzzle and move blocks if corpses were in the way you wouldnt be able to solve the puzzle ... you could move the corpses though!

The only motive I care about corpses staying is because I do get lost easily and, sometimes, seeing the dead bodies help remember from where I came from and to where I'm heading.

Taking that,I really don't care if they stay or go.

do you know if the corpses will stay?
Or better yet, if we can interact with them? In TR1 she ran straight through the T-Rex! it looked silly..

If they do disappear i hope it isn't straight away so i can have time to turn my back and pretend it isn't happening..

Well...in the Gamesradar article for today, the second paragraph starts out "As the undead foes hit the ground and fade away, again the sense of isolation hits you."

Sounds like the "undead" disappear. I got the mental image of them turing into dust and blowing away, which works for the type of creature. So very POP in my mind! But that would make sense...

Who knows...all will be revealed in time...

Didn't they blow up before?
But a dusty effect like POP or Buffy would still be cool for the mummies.

I still hope wolves and crocodiles don't disappear.

I want them to stay. I like re exploring areas and seeing a corpse on the floor. I remember killing you ! Ha !
