Please can someone tell me how I can add shadows on my drawing, please?
Use the burn tool, that's pretty much all I can think of..

Dream Raider,
There are many methods to add shadows, depending on the situation.
Can you clarify what you are trying to do?
I'd love to try and help.
The easiest way is to add a Layer Style to the object in question and create a drop shadow. But you'd have to clip around whatever it is if it's not already a separate layer.
Use a darker tones of the same colour/place you want to put on that shadow.

Or if you want to add a projected shadow for the whole layer : Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options : tick Drop Shadows.

Let's say I want to make the left part of Lara like it's in the shade... How can I do that? And burn makes her look burnt...
Set the burning exposure to a low level, so it doesn't make Lara look "burnt" :)
Use Highlights Burn not Shadows Burn which is by default ; -)

How can I do highlights burn? By the way, I drew a picture and I want to make it look realistic by adding shadow...
Can you show a sample of your drawing? I could guide you to some tutorials on how do to shadows part.

Just post it here and don't tell anybody.
The internet is very private and secure, so don't worry!

If it's successful then you are going to see it when I'm allowed to show it.;) Also, I used pencil so to draw it, I scanned it so how can I make the pencil lines to be black, I think it's called BMP. How do I do that?

Here's a teaser. By the way I think this is better than the original...

Edit. There is something wrong with the left hand but I will fix it.
Cool, the teaser looks nice.:)

Well, you could draw black lines on top of the gray ones in a new layer(very time consuming...), then delete the pencil layer. Or perhaps you could ink the picture with a pen and scan it again. Or you could try using the brightness/contrast level tool.

Yes, I did that very time consuming. It took me three hours to finish it! It doesn't look really realistic so now I'm making it look as realistic as possible. I added shadows lighting etc. :)
