I know we didn't see any blood in the new videos (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=90666), but what if the blood is optional?
Some games like Mortal Kombat have optional blood. Since, target, hints and autograb are optional, maybe the blood is as well.
So, what you think? :)

Not sure. We already know that there is blood but I don't know about it being optional.
Well if the game gets a low rating, which I'm not sure if it has, maybe this is why. They decided not to have much blood shown. Hopefully that isn't the case though.
I don't think there will be blood apart from in Atlantis, don't quote me on that though. :wve:
If I can chose I'll turn the blood off anyway. Don't like it. This is an adventure game not a war-game.
I hope it IS there, and if it is, then Optional is the best for everything thesedays! :D

I thought I saw blood in one of the new mummy shots, but it turned out to be a red eye... :p :o

i hope they do i loved the blood in tomb raider one it made it really realistic so yeah
someone from eidos germany said there will be as much blood as in the original.

What would it matter? TR1 showed only very limited amounts (e.g. the little 'puffs' that would appear if you shot Larsson). And by the way, TR1 was more about exploration and tomb raiding than just pure combat. Combat sequences even were rare...

Optional would be better than not at all, but Legend did not have blood so l am not getting my hopes up.

I don't think, at all, their will be blood. Legend even told us that their is blood. I think that they put blood, under ratings, because you are killing things. Does not necessarily mean that their is going to be Actual blood.
Even in the-what(?)-5 trailers we have not yet seen blood. Even the animals disappear, well from what I've seen, the bats. They don't spoil it and point the camera looking to see if an animal disappears.
In TR1, I think the blood was little red x's twinkling around Lara or her enemys. If we do see blood in TRA, I reckon we won't see it oozing or pouring (who would want that anyway), it will probably be more like quick red twinkles for a few seconds.

I would like a bit of blood! not a huge shame if its not there but it would be nice! I noticed that in the new video preview on gamespot when lara dies it blacked out pretty fast :yik: I hope that was just the video editing for the clip :(
Yes, I also hope there's a meter with a pointer were you can drag the pointer were you want and if it's like in the middle, there'll be a normal amount of blood :mis:

Well... not really necesary, but would be nice... I just don't want a God-of-War Mode. :)

Stop the optional stuff already, it´s like u can create a whole diferent game everyday, it´s not Sims Raider.
Let them talk about it - that's fine;) I don't see why topics like this can't be talked about.
Well I am kinda disappointed that there's still no blood but perhaps it's optional - I don't mind if it's optional:D I think it'd suit better incase you get uncomfy with people watching you play and stuff.
I hope it is there, and not as an option. If everything becomes an option, then I must say Crystal Dynamics are getting insane. lol :D
lol:D Well I'm just guessing that MAYBE it's like a marketing move - they want people who are into combat games that are not comfortable with blood - and they want Tomb Raider to be as universal to anyone as possible. They did say that it'd "attract those who'd never played Tomb Raider" before and a few of thsoe people would probably be one of thsoe people who are not comfortable with blood...so optional is flexible:D

I hope there is a bit of blood. I would hate it if the blood pumping walls in Atlantis were just dry brown walls, and if the Atlanteans were just covered in dry brownish stuff. Like dried blood instead of fresh bright red blood. I mean, in Resident Evil 4, you can't play 2 minutes without seeing some blood, but in Tomb Raider Legend, you can play the entire game without seeing a DROP of blood! Hopefully in Tomb Raider Anniversary, we WILL SEE BLOOD!!!!!!

I don't know if I'm right about the walls... But I always thought it was pumped around the walls, and then eventually filtered back into the mutant egg-pods, to feed them and help them grow or something (yuk!)
