hello. I want to make higher jumps. Do i need to do more then change the animation so it's higher or something? Or how can I do it.

TREP has a feature that allows one to edit Lara's physics a bit.
Don't know exactly how it works though so I don't know either if it can be used to make her jump higher. :o

You could also check if the jump animation(s) have a set position command assigned to them. If so then the animations could perhaps be changed to make Lara jump higher.

Ok I will try that when I get home:)

And I can't check it for you, since I'm not home either. :p

You can use TREP, as Titia suggested. Go to the Physics tab and find a number 5 in the "jump turn/grav" section. Change this number to a lower one, modify the executable and test it in-game. This requires a lot of testing for the wanted result. The lower the number is, the higher/slower will Lara jump/fall. Raising the number results in heavier Lara and it is usefull if you want to make her fall down faster or/and jump up lower than usual.
Hope I helped :) .

You are welcome ;)

You can also change the anim commands so Lara jumps higher. For example, go to animation 26's commands and change the -110 in the "grab position" command to something less, like -150 for example; this will make Lara's standing jump with the action button higher. :) The other anims with grab positions are

Anim 74, for the backwards jump
Anim 76, for the forwards jump
Anim 78, for jumping left
Anim 80, for jumping right
And anim 91, for jumping straight up (using jump button as opposed to action).

Remember, the first number is the height (the more negative it is, the higher Lara goes) and the second is the distance.

Just experiment with the values and test them out until you get the desired jumps. :)

EDIT: forgot running jumps, those are animations 16 and 18.

Thank you. i'm going to try that too:)

OMG!!! I was trying to find out how to do this, and I did the way suggested [the TREP one, changing Physics values] and it is INCREDIBLE!! I don't know what it is, but having her float is like...... Unbelievable...I can't get over it...:D
It's freakishly orgasmic =D

Do you want her to jump high for thewhole game or just a part of it?

I have some differents ideas:) But I just going to make her jumplike 6-8 clicks:)

Can you have decimal values for the TREP gravity thingy?

I believe that Lara normally jumps 7 clicks...=\

I think it's just 5 or 6 clicks

Well, if you just want to increase the jump a little bit, I think that a value of 4 would work fine. It doesn't seem extreme, but it still gets her a little higher :tmb:

Lara usually jumps 7 clicks.

That's what I thought, I normally have to make my levels, while using that information... Like when I have to make a ledge, where the player has to jump all the way up.... well, you get the idea...:D

Its Seven Clicks that lara can jump up:)

But with WadMErger, you can make her jump 100 clics for example :D (Welcome on Mars)

How do you do that? I know how to make her shoot forward :D [I think I set the acceleration to 1000, and it's really fun to shoot around]

SSJ6Wolf told you that it can be done by decreasing value of the Set position command in Wad Merger. The lower the value is, the higher will Lara jump. Try -210 value :)
