Little Lara's post made me wanna dig up some of the paintings I made for a class last semester.

First up: A self portrait - I gave myself green eyes and red hair to see what it'd look like (actually have brownish hair and dark brown eyes) :

my mum says it looks like someone older and heavier than me:confused: but I like how the skin tones came out:

^a lot of experiments with color, shadow, reflection, tone :D
Next, an incomplete still life. I spent loads of time on the metallic details of the clock and had to rush on everything else to turn it in...

I'm definitely no photographer. The flash caught the texture of the canvas and made the details a little grainy, but here's a detail anyhow :) :

Awesome work! :tmb: That's really crazy though, my parents have a clock JUST like that one in our dining room. :eek:

Whoa! Painting take some skill and you are VERY talented I must say. I love how soft your hair and that blue fabric looks. And you have captured the "metallic-y" effect perfectly on that clock. Absolutley amazing :tmb:
