Firmware 1.70 has been released for the PS3, 3.40 for the PSP. :)
PS3 firmware 1.70:
- You can now download PlayStation format software from PLAYSTATION Store, and play it on the PS3 system.
- You can now use saved data for PlayStation format software on the PSP system.
- You can now use the vibration function of accessories that are for use with PlayStation and PlayStation2 format software.
PSP firmware 3.40:
- Support for the Playstation Network titles has been expanded
- The Method of managing certificates under [Game] has been Changed.
Although it wasn't mentioned, the update for the PS3 improves backwards compatibility for PAL machines. Tomb Raider (PS) and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness (PS2) now work for me. :D
