I have a error again. It crashes before the title have loaded when I start tom4.exe. I think it have something to do with the english script. I replaced the pharaos knot and the other thing with red and yellow gem. And also the horseman gem with blue gem. Could that be the problem?

Im not sure but thy to change the Camera Coordinations from:

LoadCamera= 0,0,0,0,0,0,0

to

LoadCamera= 0,0,0,0,0,0,255 (225 can also be the one)

If it is something wrong with the loading camera it would crash after I exit my level.

I'm not sure if it will change anything, but you could try removing the (-) signs from in front of those zeros.

I know that isn't the reason. It have something with the.

Blue Gem
red Gem
and
Yellow gem to do. But I don't know what's wrong?

I think I got it! In your script file you have Red Gem as Red gem and I think that capitalization counts... But I could be wrong =\

yea, I tried changing one letter, in my script, to a capital, and it caused it to crash. I hope this helped!

Yes, it must be typed EXACTLY the same in both files. It is much better to copy and paste.

Sorry me internet shuts down 11 pm. So I couldn't see what you answered.:p

Yeah I pasted from english.txt to script.txt. But it still crashes. I start tomb4.exe and then I see the loadingscreen before the title. And after 1 second it crash.

You're using the original title.tr4 file, yes? If you're using one from a custom level or something, it may conflict with the script and cause the program to crash.


I don't think the gem names are causing it to crash. When the script.txt and english.txt files do not match up somewhere, then it gives you an error. Unless you're just ignoring these errors then your script should be fine. Besides, with a faulty script usually the words just get messed up instead of the program crashing, unless something is horribly wrong.

I downloaded the original scripts from laraslevelbase. And it worked perfect. then I added Blue, Red and Yellow Gem again and then it crashed. So it have sometthing with those to do but I have no idea what.

Hm... Hold on. I am going to try changing the name of one of the objects in my project and see what happens.

I tried just changing the name of the Pistols and some other things, and it worked fine. So I'm really not sure what happened.

I just looked into this, but I have a question: In your English script the second line speeks about a " Lara's mansion" Is this your first level and is it still there and is this catacomb your custom second level, or the old fashioned fifth? So how does your total script looks like? ;)

I downloaded a new script from laras levelbase. But it still crashes now when I changed it too the Blue gem etc. But no this isn't my first costum level. It's my 10000000th level. :p xD I have the catacomb as a test level. I'm building the Ghana level now. I have tried the gems in ghana but it crashes then too.

LOL. Sorry now I know what the problem was. More then one level had those objects I replaced in the script. So I writed down the Gems on those levels and now it works. Sorry. :p

The problem with scripting is that one little detail can ruin the scripts, causing the game to crash. :rolleyes:
