Hi all,
Just a quick note to tell you all that the Core Design game FreeRunning hit the shops today in the UK (already available in the US).
This is technically the last game Core Design did while they were still Core Design. A point of interest for you guys, this is the same engine that the ill fated Anniversary edition used before it was cancelled.

Your from Core Design :D Were you envolved in the development? Or do you have a completely different job now?

Technically I work at Rebellion Derby but yes I work at Core. There's a couple of us on here. We all joined during TAEgate :)
I did a tiny bit of work on FreeRunning but I wasn't actually on that team. Another member, Bandit, was on that team.

Cool, can you say if your working on another project? Say an action adventure? (Just respond with a yes or no, no need for specifics, I imagine it all be hush-hush if there is anything)

Sorry, not allowed to talk about projects at all. :cen:
Good to see you around MY :wve:
Perhaps you might have the answer this. I know TR:AE would have had the same engine but would the same "moves" have been available to Lara etc? How similar would you say Free Running feels to TR:AE? I think Rivendell has already said it feels pretty similar so it would be interesting to know how close this comes.
As for future projects, I can't wait to see what you all come up with ;)
There is another Free Runnin thread below that you might want to check out. Good to hear from you MY.
Sinse you worked at Core for AE there are a load of questions I want to ask you but it'll be spam :(
Wern't you a little annoyed that Eidos cancelled your version (the much better one IMO) of AE?

Looks! Looks similar :p I've not played the cancelled TR:AE. Yet. :cln:

I guess there's definitely a difference between it feeling similar and looking similar. I stand corrected :p What I meant to say was that you've said there are more general similarities to TR.
And I hope you get to play it one day. The question is...how? ^.^'

This thread scared the hell out of me. I thought it'd be about Core (including Rebellion) never making a game ever again. Thank God I was wrong. Deep breaths, Dale. *breathes in and out* Nice to see you again.
And if it helps, as good as Crystal's TRA looks, I think Core's would've been better. :) *cries* Such a beautiful trailer! *cries some more*

Can I ask you a question MellowYellow? Can I interview you (over the net) for a future website I'm creating? I would love to hear what you guys think about the switch-off, Legend, Eidos, and the future of the TR franchise, as of today. ;) My email is laracroftweb.administration.matt@gmail.com. If you can, I'd really appreciate an interview!
I'm definately buying Free Running! It looks really fun! :D
can you actually create your own character looking like lara croft????
Nope Krycek, all the characters you can play have preset looks, you can only customise clothes.
