I wanted to test a test level I made ( I use NGLE ), I click on exit and play, select New game and then the load bar comes up for a second and dissapears, then the game crashes :confused:
Does somebody know how to fix this ?

He said it crash when he press new game. that means the title shows up.

I also want to test my level. I use NGLE but when i press new game and choose my level it shows the loadingbar in 1 second then it crash.

It sounds like the script file cannot find the level that it is looking for.
Can you post your script.txt file [from the SCRIPT folder], and a list of the names of the files in your DATA folder?

This may sound stupid but it happens to the best of us... have you placed the Lara object in your project?
Or there could be something wrong with the script, as Izzie pointed out. ;)

The Exit&Play feature often crashes my game too. Usually when I output the wad and build it like usual, it works fine.

Back when I used NGLE, I would never use the Exit & Play button, one: it took too long, and two: because then I have to re-open everything.

What I do when I have to test my level every couple minutes is keep the NG_Convertor open with the file ready to be converted and I just save, output, and convert, then I play it :wve:

Nevermind, I ran english.bat and it fixed itself. but now i have this weird waterfall texture, it's like in waves (waterfall1)

Nope it still don't work. I have 2 levels built with NGLE. And one work but the other just crash. Now it's loading until the end of the loadingbar. Then it crash

And then ran English.bat

Keep a back-up of english.dat, script.txt and english.txt before you overwrite them !

If it crashes after loading all the way, then it could be that you do not have the Lara object. Do you? :o

Misinformation
Exit & Play. This is simply a script which does the things you do manually - automatically ie, saves prj, outputs Tom file, opens NgleTom2pc, converts file, quits ngle, opens tomb4exe, loads level.
If the level crashes it has nothing to do with exit & play Unless you have too little memory (change the prefs if you have).

If you use Winroomedit, it is a BAD IDEA to keep it running whilst testing levels as a bug in it causes it use virtually 100% processing power. (fixed in NGLE).

Level crashes can be caused by many things. Including script issues, corrupt wads or objects, lara missing, triggers without objects etc. If help is required then it is important to give as much information as possible. ie, was a custom wad used? was it working before? has it ever worked? what changes have been made since it last worked? Importantly always save incremental back ups of project files eg mylevel01.prj, mylevel02.prj, mylevel03.prj, that way you can easily get back to a working project. Same goes for script files, save a backup before changing.

Basically, unless more information is given, we are ****ing against the wind.

I will try to fix it later. Now I have another problem. but it's texture releted. I have window textures. How can I make them transparent. I only want the glass to be transparent and not the white around every glass thing. 'How can I do that?

Look here. Here are window texture. It looks like it is bad quality but that's because they are stretched right now. I only want to glass (the black) to be transparent and not the white. How do I do that?

Edit the texture file. Any part you want to be transparent, make the color R=255, G=0, B=255.

You'll need to make two textures for that: in one, you make only the 'glass' transparent(in a paint program) and apply it using "double sided".
In the other you make only the ' wooden part' transparent (again,in a paint program) and then apply it using "transparent" and "double sided".
You have to select the portal you wish to apply them and push "toggle opacity" buttom, before applying them.This way you can see the square you're going to 'put' the texture and Lara can't pass through it.
