Hi guys!
Just found out about this TRAI couple of days back. I downloaded it and
followed instructions, but every time i try to run the game I get back screen
& it sez "NOW STARTING TOMB RAIDER ORIGINAL"...
But the line below that sez "Program to big to fit in memory"
Has ny1 ever came across this problem? :confused:
Plz help! :hea: Ama dyin' 2 play dis game, since I never played it b4 & I
really wanna go through it b4 playin' TRA!

You must reinstall TR1 using TRAI, choose to install with DgVoodoo 1.40. Without this Glide wrapper TR1 won't work on your PC :)

I installed it with DgVoodoo 1.40+ but now when i am tryna start the game the followin' message pops up: 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem "VDMS Launchpad - Tomb Raider. The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:001a IP:138f OP:8e 8f 90 92 92 Choose Close to terminate the application". then it's got close and Ignore buttons @ the bottom.
So I can't really start the game still. :(
OK, let's do the following:
1. Delete C:\TOMBRAID folder.
2. Uninstall VDMSound, reboot.
3. Install VDMSound, reboot.
4. Install TR1 using TRAI putting TR1 CD into E: drive (choose DgVoodoo 1.40).
5. Run TR1 via shortcut.
If still problems run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) again and post the report (BTW, you're pasting the report just the right way :) )

Sigh... I turned off/disabled everythin' that ur mentioned, still gives teh same message!
btw i also went processes>NTVDM.exe>Set Affinity but it was already on 0

Actually try to remember have you switched off some system services after Windows setup, not mentioning Windows Firewall and Security Center?

Download Tomb Raider 3Dfx patch (http://tombraiders.net/cgi-bin/schlabo/dl.pl?TR1_PC_3dfx_Patch)
Backup your original Tomb.exe, then unZIP tomb.exe from downloaded archive to C:\TOMBRAID.
Run via the desktop shortcut.

I finally managed 2 run TR, it's not the original, but still @ least it'll give me a gist of what the original one was about... :D
I got TR revised runnin' ( couldn't start it 4 a while too), it didn't load or it loaded 4 a few seconds, I heard some music, then the game was kickin' me out back 2 Windows. Turns out all I really needed was title.tr4, chrimajon helped me out with that! And so now i am successfully running teh game & enjoying it 2 say the least. :D
Anyways, thank you very much for all your help Esconder 'n' chrimajon, where would I b without youse!
