Can someone please tell me, or remind me, how much longer than Legend this game is expected to be?

In an interview they said it's going to be the same length as tomb raider 1 but there will be more things to keep you busy. And yes, I also heard 50% longer than Legend.

Another review said it takes 15 hours :)
But it all depends on how you play tomb raider.
Do you look around? Or do you just solve puzzles to get over with it?
Are you 'slow' or are you 'fast'.
What magazines/reviews/Eidos says has no effect on me:)

I guess not. I finished Legend in a day, roughly speaking. I hope this is not a 2 day effort!

7 hours + 50% = 10.5 hours. Dosent seem too much for me either :/

OMG you are right!
Hopefully the puzzles will be more challenging and the multiple paths, will add to the gameplay.
I've read somewhere that it's between 30 & 40% longer.

I am a very slow player, because i only play games i enjoy, meaning i do not really want them to end anytime soon. I enjoy looking in every single nook and nook and crannie, so much so that when people watch me play it drives them upthe wall! :D
However, i was still like this with Legend, but it was still over pretty fast!

Not really if they're referring to Legend... :p
That game took me SIX hours first play through....on HARD mode...
So 50% longer will mean... NINE hours forst play through for the AE...
Still nothing too spectacular... :(
And lets not forget Crystal said Legend should take between 10-12 hours to complete first time thorugh...but it wasn't anywhere near that length in reality...
Oh, and i'm not one of these people who rush through the game either... That six hours involved me stopping and exlpoloring as much as I could (which, lets face it...was pretty damn limited in Legend)... :wve:
As long as the main key areas of TR1 are present...then i'll be happy. The game will undoubtedly be a 'quicker' gameplay experience than the original anyways, since Lara moves so much quicker in Crystals engine... :D
And i'm pretty sure all these nooks and crannies Crystal keep hyping will keep me occupied for several extra hours :D:D:D:D:D:D :tmb:

Me too!! can't wait! Loved Legend but it was over so quickly I need something that can last a bit longer ;) So you're thinking its the 25th too? or do you have the inside gossip :p
I think also there's plenty increasing the replay value like:
- finding all secrets
- completing time trials
- listening to audio commentaries
- playing with auto-grab/hints on/off
- trying alternate routs and solutions
I hope its at least 5 times longer then legend! And the time trials made legend even shorter if u know what I mean. tahts hy I hate them! HELL< I would have never imagined u could beat japan for 11 minutes if it wasnt for the trail.

It is funny how the old games still took a long time, even if you didn't look for secrets, and there were no time trials. I like these extras, but i still would like a long game. I like the alternative rout idea a lot though. :tmb:
LOL! 7 hours? I finished mine for 6 and a half, no cheats :D No walkthroughs too! Jut a good GROKer then.. Sight.. I miss those days.. But nv md... :p
I think the speed depends on the player , I finished the first tomb raider less than a week no cheats or walkthroughs, and a lot of people took longer than that and I dont know why Legend was like in a week something like that, maybe because I take my time now lol so I think we should wait and see...

Ah, that's a more direct response :D If TRA takes me twice as long as Legend, I'll be happy with its length (Legend took me 8 hours, plus 2 in the mansion).
Is it still true that you can go/get anywhere you want (in levels)?
I hope that the game will be long but i doubt that it will be long as Tomb Raider 1!

Legend would take longer to finish without Zip and Alister's help and if there weren't all those prompts telling us what to do. Yes, Legend was linear but it would still be hard without all those and manual grab. The enemies look threatening and hard to kill in Anniversary, it's not linear, complex and huge level design, so much to do and experiment, longer, manual grab and removal of hints etc. and you can choose the Tomb Raider difficulty settings.
50% longer?? That means that i could finish TRA in about 7 hours and 30 min.
The second time i played TRL my finish time was 5 hours and 9 min. completed 100%
Im sure though that it takes a lot longer to finish TRA. there will be a lot of "oh yaeh i forgot that part" and "**** that wolf surprised me, AGAIN"
