(sorry I'm making so many threads today...)
But Lara is so polite in this game, especially in the conversation with Larson! She says thank you and everything! :vlol: Shelly gives her a very nice feel... But I still liked Jonell more.
Don't you agree? I was amazed lol!

Yes, and in the FMV after the Sanctuary of Scion she says "Afternoon" to the man who's taking her guns. :P

Originally, Lara was supposed to be a polite upper-class lady, so no it doesn't surprise me. However, after Revelation, Lara's attitude started to go downhill: she was either blatantly rude (ala Darkness) or overly emotional like she'd gone emo or something. In retrospect, it is interesting to see how Lara's attitude has altered - I won't say 'developed' - over the years.

I love that cutscene - Lara is such a perfect aristocratic lady. She won't even speak rudely to someone who is trying to kill her. :D
I thought Lara was amazing in TR1. :D It's actually the last TR that I played, and before that I played AoD - what a difference! :yik:
IMO, Shelley Blond is the perfect voice for Lara. Keeley and Jonnell are pretty good too, but Shelley rocks! :jmp:

Yeah, of course she's being sarcastic, but she's also being genuinely polite at the same time - it's perfectly possible to be both, you know. ;)
I love when she says of course and sorta misses the "s". :D So warm and fuzzy... She sounds so warm. :hug:

l always thought of Tomb Raider 1 as the real Lara, polite and lady like with a steely disposition. She was similar in Tomb Raider 2 and then after that she seems to slowly change becoming more sarcastic and bitter, perhaps reflecting how Core were feeling about her. Certainly later on she became more of a killer, even shooting helicopter pilots for fun. l was glad when Legend came out and Lara seemed to have returned to her old attitude, although still if you get in her way she will blow you away.

That pretty much sums up my opinion. She was much friendlier in her early days and seemed so in the movies, aswell as TR Legend.

I'm not sure she is so polite. She knocked Larson out after he helped her!
There is a difference between being polite and being stupid, allowing Larson to get his gun back would have been stupid. Knocking him out was certainly more polite than killing him. Lara gave him a chance and he went for his gun, Lara's foot just happened to get in his way

I notices that too, I'm glad she has her old attitude back in Legend and Anniversary, In legend, she was awfully polite but had a heart of stone, except for when her mother came into it, that totally ruined it imo. She became a different lara in tr4,5, and 6, that was ok-ish, but i will always prefer the old lara to the new ones.
