Need help near end (I hope) of Old Mill

I've opened the submerged door in the windmill and am now able to get onto roof of water wheel building. But, while on that roof I can no longer "look" (ins+arrow), nor can I crawl into the space under the peak.

Should I be able to get into the water wheel building this way, or, am I going about this the wrong way?
