What's 'Gameshadow'?

(forgive I posted two topics twice. Load Balancing came up and I thought it didn't submit when I came back because I couldn't see it.)

I popped in the TRA disc this morning (Collector's Edition too! Yay! n.n) and when the AutoRun came up I saw an 'Install Gameshadow' button. Can someone explain what this is? If this has already been asked, forgive.

I think it's a system for patching games (TRA needs patching lol)
