View Full Version : What video card you have?
I have GeForce2 MX400/64MB!
I have NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model64/Model64pro. But I'm getting a new PC. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

ATI Radeon 8500Retail 128MB Memory DirectX8.1, works with RTCW like a dream, but won't display all the features in DirectX9.0 games, such as AOD :(

I got a NVIDIA GEForce 4 MX 440 64MB :D
Radeon 8500 64mb
Matrox G400 Dual Head Max 32mb
Voodoo3 2000 16mb
128MB Geforce4 MX440... in my AthlonXP 2600+
128MB of video RAM does make a difference - i didnt think it would too much (from 64MB to 128MB) yet it does. I also have a 64MB Geforce4 MX440 in my other PC - AthlonXP 1600+
siting in a box (the case of an old PC) is a 32MB TNT2 PCI for when i move to dual screens...
Will upgrade to a GeForce Ti or Radeon Type equiv. when i have spare cash...
Duffman's back! :D How's the leg?
thanx for the welcome back deano...
the leg is still sore - but im off the crutches and walking (almost) normally agian. The only thing is inclines and stairs are still very hard - but i see improvements each time i try - so im optimistic. I have physio every week or so and am back at work...
Doctor says i will be back playing sports (which i have been patiently twiddling my thumbs over) in a couple of weeks, yet the swelling will not go down for between 9-12 months...
agian, thanx for asking :D
What video card? mmm... :D
A good one ;)
Yeah, something like that will take a while to recover from. Good to see you around again. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
I only have a lowly GeForce4 MX440 64Mb AGP 8x...Im not sure yet what I will upgrade to when I build my next computer...
U could try the Fire GLX 1 ;)
was thinking about the Wildcat4 7210 384Mb
lol, well there's that too if u can afford it :D
it will be in all the business computers, well the developement ones that is...hehe
Geez! No one yet with a DirectX9.0 card.........look like a lot of us will be missing out on all that new eye candy! :(
Iíve got ATI Radeon 9100 Club. But I was thinking to take 9600.
The 9600 is a DirectX9.0 card the 9100 is a DirectX8.1 card........darn, should have picked up the 9600, if it didn't have too much of a price premium.
Highjinx, I bought 9100 in January, and then I didnít have the opportunity to buy 9600, it wasnít out here yet!
I've had my Radeon 9800Pro for 2 months now and it's well cool ... MUCH faster than me old GeForce3 lol
What CPU are U using the 9800Pro with. I'm considering getting a 9700pro to use with my old 1ghz P3, so I have Dx9 capabilities till I can upgrade the MB/CPU to a P4/800mhz fsb.
May well be worth holding on for a month or so because both nVIDIA and ATi are releasing brand new cards packed with the latest architectures later this year. If you can't afford one of the newer cards, then for sure the prices on older models will fall dramatically.
Good point Tlr OnLine,
Since you have possibly already have played some of AOD!!!!!!!speculating, but someone in your position would have had some real exposure to the game. So how much of the eye candy in AOD will I be missing out on using a Dx8.1 card vs using a Dx9.0 card? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
High Jinx. Yes, I have played AOD, and it's full of eye candy I can tell you! Simply put, it's pretty darn good! Your 8500 Pro should be able to handle the game just fine.
how will my gforce fx 5200 hold out with 128 mb cheep card but wondering .
