in croft manor apparently they snuk in the ark of the covenant (indiana jones) in her house presumably where all the other boxes are, ive never noticed but when i unlocked the TRA commentary toby guard said they cheekily put it in her TR1 mansion without lucas arts permission, but left it out of her TRA mansion (copywrited probs) anyone got a screen shot of it i would love to see it!

They put the Ark of the Covenant in her mansion in TR1, but they left it out of TRA because Lucas Arts probably trademarked it.

If they said that then it's completely nonsense (no offense), because nobody can copyright something that's accurately described in the Bible itself. The description is writen there, Lucas Arts only build something based on such description...

What I can think of is the close relation between Lara and Indiana, and the fact that Lara happens to have the ark in her posesion (which Indiana also happened to look for). But as I said, I don't see the problem, it is just another mythical object.

LOL!

I love Indiana Jones, yet I didn't even REALISE Lara had the Ark in her mansion!

Thanks for letting me know, guys! :)

I love the fact that the Ark of the Covenant is just chilling out by her front door. And I don't know where they got that "oh it may be copyright" stuff in the commentary.

(btw, 700th post! yay!)

That copyright already belongs to the Big Man upstairs.

On a side note, the ark was one of the first things I noticed when I played the game way back when. I think it was really humorous to see it there. Very clever! :D

Besides, it's supposed to be something really valuable but Lara stores it somewhere in a corner  I think it's pretty funny.

Well...no offense....but Indiana Jones was the first "tomb raider" and is still better in the movie section. You cant by pass the classics.:)

Thanks for the screen shots!!! its made my day lol, and yeah i agree i doubt lucasarts has the copywrite to the ark since its in the bible and all, but thats what the commentary on croft manor anniversary said you know just in case george is playing tomb raider one day and thinks ''hey i can get some more cash...not that i need it, but i do need the power trip!!!''

anyway thankyou again!!!
