I went to the brook centre today to go on the pill, they've put me on the combined pill Ovranette. They told me about side effects that could happen and it worried me a little! Blood clots... are they dangerous if they aint treated quickly? She said that if i experience sudden severe chest pain or breathlessness, or a first ever migraine (or worsening of established migraine), or a painful swollen calf muscle, or trouble with my vision or anything else along those lines including passing out ( http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif ) I need to go STRAIGHT to casualty because these are signs of blood clots! It scared me but i really need to get on this pill... I want to know how dangerous blood clots are...

You shouldnt have to worry about it, she probably stressed it so you wouldnt brush any of it off if it happened...

She also said looking at my family history I only have a 1 in 1000 chance of that happening so im probaly worrying over nothing again http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/silent.gif Thanks though xxx

A friend of mine could not take the pill so she went to have an injection once every two or three months (no to sure) she was happy with it, at least then you dont have to remember to take it every day

I was considering the Patch.. then I'd only have to change it once a week.. I wouldnt do the injection, i hate needles! And i'd get paranoid that it aint working..
