View Full Version : Go Vegetarians!
Hi Jiao, Are you a vegetarian? There was an earlier post that made it sound like you might be.

I really can spell, honestly http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Cooked Vegetables http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif
Uncooked Vegetables... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Yes I think you'll find that Jiao is a vegetarian, and so are me and my finance. You have to be careful saying it around here though as there are some pretty strident meaties about.
Hi Eriksgirl. I'll be more careful, I know how carnivors can be a bit "edgy" and I don't want be the one that pushes them over the edge. Not today at least. ;) Vegetarians taste great anyway you eat us. Very easy on the stomache but too intelligent for the average brain to handle. Draco http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Yes, but not all of us life long members of PETA (People who Eat Tasty Animals) are average brains.
Not Eriksgirl b4 was me Jacker.
PETA is the longest existing organization spanning back a few hundred million years... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/mischievous.gif
Not PETA George, surely its the ATG society for you?
Sorry for the mix up Jacker:) I'll admit not all meat eaters are meat brains (sorry for the bad pun) Just a big minority http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
And just whay do you think those long ago folks lived on when there wasn't a mammoth readily at hand????????
P.E.T.A People for the ethical treatment of animals, W.S.P.A World society for the protection of animals
A.L.F Animal Liberation Front
and Green Peace are some of the finest organizaions around http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Hey Annacia, I think they just all ate other human beings...Well it's meat init? Yummy!
Not a far cry from the men of today, I had a boyfriend once who would get a flinty look in his eye if he didn't have meat for a while. Then when he got to his apartment or in a grocery store he would kind of sniff the air and walk towards fleshy things practically mouthing "must have meat now"
I'm surprised he didn't beat his chest.
So glad my man is veggie! (and he is a chef!)
Lucky You. I really don't mind dating someone who isn't a vegetarian though. I know it's not everybody's choice and I respect that. It's just the ones who Need meat or else they go crazy.
I'm a lean green eatin' machine! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
Go veggie-girls! And cool Canadian chicks with their own restaurants! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/grouphug.gif
He's a chef?? can I talk to him????
Hi Jiao http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
He's not here right now (out for a few drinks)whatdya want to know?
Oh, just everything! And jacker, your Spanish is just as good as mine (believe it http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif )
Hi Isabella! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Muchas gracias Annacia, pero yo no conosco que ma espanol es muy bien. Me oblida mucho! Pero yo no oblida ca.......Hola, ma novio tiene un grande piene!
And my teacher taught me that!
You ask me what you want to ask him and I will reply!
By the way thanks for the high ratings, I feel like some posh hotel!
I'm probrobly repling to myself but it wouldn't be the first time. It's just funny how a topic can start developing into another topic. I always click on the option to recieve e-mails everytime someone answers my questions. When I check my mail I'll have about 11 new messages about posts that have nothing to do with the origional topic. I love randomness. ;)
Randomness is mighty fine. Virginia Woolf would have it called stream of conciousness which I rather like!
PS Go Veggie Tomb Raiders, may you run faster, and live longer than your meat eating counterparts
I love starting hot topics. I made the little mail box icon red. Burn baby burn http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Too hot to handle. I think the carnivors got frightened off. Like deer caught in headlights.
Don't bet on it! They lurk, waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting and innocent veggie.
:D :( My area is under a thunderstorm warning (I love storms) But it's getting quite noisy outside so I should probrobly get off the computer. I'll hopefully talk to everyone later today.

Hope the storm isn't too bad! speak to you soon. Jacker.
Oh we are around, just finished a kill...yum... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/mischievous.gif
SEE http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif Be careful veggies everywhere!
No need to be afraid, just sniff the air - you can smell em.
I've been a vegetarian for 12 years now. I really couldn't care if someone eats meat, it's their choice. But as for partners, I wouldn't have a meat eater because I know that all the elements of eating meat seep out through all body fluids. Um... too much information? :D
It isn't natural nor healthy to be on a completely nutrition exclusionary diet...its about balance...I don't know many meat eaters that don't eat vegatables...
Now Draco don't get me started!
mmm, sorry jacker I really have to agree with the dragon on his last statement.
Science Alert! :D
Like most mammals, I'm omnivorous.
But a proper vegetarian diet (one with complete amino acid content) is, in fact, healthier than most western diets. I live in a nation which is dying of cardiovascular disease, largely from simple excess. But some significant studies (many) have established that the average American (not sure about Europe) eats two to three times as much protein as is healthy. Excess protein causes many problems, not just for the cardiovascular system, but for the liver and kidneys which must dispose of the excess ureic acid in the blood. Meat-based foods are by far the most significant sources of toxins in the average western diet, which build up in the fatty tissues of all animals, particularly those higher up the chain. Excess meat consumption therefore increases cancer risk (children should severely limit swordfish and tuna intake because of mercury). Excess protein leads to displacement of other foods from the diet also can lead to intestinal problems such as diverticulitis.
My wife, who is a doctor, just returned from a seminar where she learned that the greatest risk of exposure to antibiotic-resistant bacteria is from uncooked commercial raw chicken. In the US, agribusiness is using some of the most potent antibiotics available on a routine basis as a prophylactic. So the raw chicken on your cutting boards contains very dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Cook it good.
The average adult, consuming between 2,000 to 2,500 kilocalories per day, requires FOUR OUNCES of protein. That is very easy to obtain from non-meat sources. The trick is amino acid balance.
Like Draco says, "balance." We just need to understand how little protein "balanced" is.
I hope you found this information useful and not too heavy-handed. Bon Apetite! ;)
Where is everyone tonight?
I'm here for a little while (Till closing time)
Hi Annacia. So there is life out there. How are you? I keep zoning out for some reason. I spent too much time on the computer these past few days and I'm not used to the inactivity.
Hi guys! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Gonga - you would probably get along with my husband (he's a walking nutritionalist's encyclopaedia)! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/mischievous.gif
Hi Jiao http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif It's good to see some familiar people. I was about to keep adding new posts just to see of I could get the first page full of my name. Then I was going to reply to myself which I've infortunatley done a lot on here.
Good evening Angels (that is if Isabella wants to be an Angel). Hoe are you this fine evening??
Isabella do you want to be a Draco's Angel? If you do then there will be 3 of us. And between us , I think we three would give him a run for his money. (hehehe)
Aha! So that's how you've managed such an impressive post-count in so little time, Isabella! I'll have to try that one-sided-conversation tactic! ;)
I'd love to be an angel, As long as I can raise some hell every now and then. If there are 3 angels then we can be like Charlie's Angels. Or Draco's Angels, even better.

And btw he only gets three!
So, Angels... who do you suppose would make the best forum "Bosley"? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/mischievous.gif
If he can handle 3. I don't know much about Draco yet except that he's fast with his fingers http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Jiao, that's a good question. I still don't know too many people yet, But what about tlr. He's diplomatic, and from what I can tell charming. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I think we should take applications :D
um lol just like a fact that ...well i dunno how much percent but a lot of air particles in texas are meat.....just so ya know....
What should be the criteria?
Who would want to be our Bosley?
let's see now.
Maybe start a new topic with a catchy subject title. Like....., I don't know, but something.
Got it covered! hold on a sec.
A dry sense of humor, but not afraid to make a fool of themselves.
Wow talk about weird http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Justin, is that an offer for the part? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
No you people are just weird :D
Hold on Angels, I'm goin home. Be back in 20 or 30.
Now we just have to wait and see who takes the bait. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif I'm going to have to get off at some point because someone needs to use the phone. But if we don't the perfect man for the role tonight, maybe tom. night. So many to choose from...

Jiao, yes, I probably would get along with your hubby, but that's because I'm so charming and easy to get along with! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
But let's get this straight right now...I do not, would not, and will not ever police what someone else eats. I say "let 'em die! Ha Ha Haaaa!" http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif
Goodnight ladies. Our man is out there, somewhere. Talk to you later. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/sleepy.gif
