Ill make this a 'short' post, and leave details out.
Lara is hired to retrieve artifacts for dr.willard.
Lara finds the artifacts, but dr.willard takes them from her.
In the last levels we find mutated people all around.
Dr.Willard mutats to a huge spider (mutant)
Lara kills him, and escapes from the place. (thats in all the TR endings though :p)
Simmular to TR1? :p

lol
Haven't noticed this before. Thanks for posting! :)
I've thought of this before... Lara finds a thing, thinking it's the only thing, but learns there's more things! Her employer steals them and goes mutant... Yeah :p
Indeed! But it's sometimes nice to have similarities and references to previous game titles. It's not like every Tomb Raider has Lara being hired by someone and ends up being betrayed by them or seeing mutants everywhere...I hope. :yik:
There are a huge number of similarities between the plots of most of the TRs, or rather the plot elements, some of which are repeated wholesale. For example, I had posted a long time ago about how the plots of Legend and TR4 have many points in common - two games which on the surface look as different as chalk and cheese. The whole concept of a friend who Lara leaves behind in a collapsing tomb, and who returns with a grudge against Lara is present in both - Von Croy and Amanda for TR4 and Legend respectively. Both these are the main human enemy of their respective games, and both team up with supernatural beings to get their revenge on Lara (Seth and Fluffy). The plots of both games revolve around Lara trying to fix a mistake she has made (awakening Seth and activating the dias in Nepal). There's a lot more, but you get the idea. :D
Even AoD, which had the most unusual plot of all the TRs, shares some basic features with TR3 - namely, Lara has to travel to different places to collect artifacts of the same type, which the main enemy also wants in order to complete his nasty plans (Obscura paintings and the meteorite artifacts respectively). She also breaks into a (real life) museum in both (the Louvre and the British Museum).
Both Natla & Willard also talked about the evolution of a new species i.e the mutants.

I guess they are the same.
but tbh i like tomb raider 3's storyline better:)
I've always wanted Natla's Mutants and the Antartic Mutants to duke it out in War!
If both existed at the same time, It reasonable to assume that the Atlanteans would see this as a competing with their own monopoly on genetic tech (Remember, this tech makes them living God to mere human beings!) and they would have a fair old war with the continent. The Leaders of the Tinnos would be beings not Unlike Puna!
Or perhaps the Element that mutates in the artefacts is the same as the one used in the Scion?
