View Full Version : Problem picking up shotgun shells in Lost Valley *Spoiler Screens*

I just finished playing Lost Valley, and even now after backtracking to these two shotgun shells i still cant seem to be able to pick them up. I'm playing TRA on the PC... has anyone else encountered this problem? :confused::hea:

Not a bug. There's a maximum on how much ammo you can carry. You've obviously reached it.

How much ammo do you have? There's a limit of 40 shells. If you don't have all 40, but your shotgun (if you have it) is not full, reload that and then you should be able to top it up to 40.

Thanks guys!! :wve: i didnt realize that there was a maximum of ammo lara oculd carry for one gun. damn you CD!! :tea:

It caught me out also, it just means you can use your shotgun for the full game, as you may as well, because this will happen a lot. In the old games i was scared to use it too much.

I just have 32 ammo and do not have shotgun, but I also cannot pick up shotgun shells in the picture 2 area, why?

I think you're only allowed to hold 32 shells, but if you have the shotgun you can have an extra 8 in the actual gun itself :)

Shotgun probably comes with 8 bullets, so you don't need to pick up any more for when you retrieve the shotgun.

To be fair, it's an easy thing to wonder about, because there isn't anything in the manual (to my knowledge, and I have the manual right here on my lap) that indicates limited ammo for weapons.

my old computer is working fine actually :p i just have to have a big fan aimed at the inside of it now to keep my graphics card cool and from over heating :tea: the actual reason why i havent played so much is cuase im so busy with work. i was hoping to play tomb of qualopec tonight, but im too tired now andh ave to getu p early again tomorrow :( looks like i have to wait again until my two days off (sunday and monday) before i continue this awesome game :o nut i guess it's oaky, at least at this rate the gaming experience will be stretched out nice and long.

PS: just a question: what is the maximum on uzi ammo one can carry in the game later on?

200, I believe, plus what's in the gun.

Is the max for shotgun ammo 40? I thought it was 48. The guide says it's 48 too. :confused: The way I interpret is that there is 48 bullets, 8 in the gun and 40 extra to load the gun with (usually says 8/40 on screen). I'm confused now. :confused:

I only used the shotgun on the room that had two centaurs and two of those mummy-ish things in Sanctuary of the Scion...

I used just plain pistols for the whole rest of the game. I didn't even use other weapons on Natla!

Oh okay then. But the official guide still says max ammo: 48 for the shotgun. Must be a typo or a mistake on the guide's part. :)

Seriously tho. Do you guys think you could just walk around with 999 shells for every gun + the guns themself in your backpack + all the objectives and still do jumps n flips. :p Things are turning realistic these days guys.

No. You are carrying 40extra shells while your gun is loaded by 8. 48 is the max amount.
