This saves only a minutes or so but it could help, when you enter the room with the Large Sphinx go to the left shoulder (when facing the back) and pull the guns out and do the fancy side roll trick when the color starts to change a little bit on the shoulder and you will go up on the shoulder, then walk on the shoulder (carefull not to slip and slide) and then you can jump over to the ledge to the left instead of going down to the bottom and going back up there. The jump to the platform on the left is tricky to get too but it is possible, you can also go to the front of the Sphinx right beside the face of it just to look around. Sorry I cant post screens casue I play on the PS2, if someone wants to do this and can post screenshots that would eb appriciated.
