Which one?
In TRA, the regular pistol is the Colt M1911... .50 Cal pistol is the Desert Eagle...

Thanks!
No no no. Her TRA pistols are twin Browning 9mm's, and the ones used in the films and TRL are twin Heckler and Koch USP Match's.
However, yes the .50 cal are Desert Eagles.
Can't remember where I heard it but they're definitely meant to be Browning 9mm.
EDIT: found it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lara_Croft#Other_facts
EDIT 2: yes they are Colt 1911 in TRA, they didn't used to be though, I swear :o

No no no, The distinct shape in the front of the barrel of the duel pistol matches the M1911, not Browning Hi-Power...
They are very close since they are both created by John Browning...
Edit: Lol, I'm late
I edited my post, sorry. At the beginning of the TRA hype it was clearly mentioned they'd be Brownings like in TR1, but looks as though they changed them among other things like her face etc.
I do apologise again :o.

I'm gonna buy these to play airsoft but I can't find them gas powered!!! Does anyone know where??

They look more like magic guns with no ejection port, slide release, mag catch... hell there isn't even a magazine...
They were originally modified Hi-powers (i wrote an article on those guns) but now they are cheap 1911 look-alike...
Edit: looks like there isn't any recoil spring guide either...

Well, I don't care what make her pistols are - all I know is they have just done a grand job on the Torso! :) I had accidentally used up all my bloody Uzis on the flying pillocks in Great Pyramid (well, apart from about 50 rounds) - so I had to rely on the trusty twin pistols for the beast. No probs - just took time.
So, here's to Lara's pistols - whatever they may be
I completed the game with my pistols on hard lol. Trusty old pistols :)
I prefer these pistols to the ones in TRL, and those pistols are magical Snake! Never noticed the other details but the missing mag was blindingly obvious and a silly mistake, I would have expected it in-game but not on a highly detailed render.
Still good weapons and a good render, especially the Scion...
...have I mentioned my love for the Scion yet...?
However, yes the .50 cal are Desert Eagles.
Wouldn't the recoil be impossible to control in real-life?

Yep - I killed old Nat on hard with just the pistols. Took a while, but they did the job a treat. I once read somewhere that all TR games can be completed just with pistols. Makes you wonder why they give us the bigger guns - but I'm not complaining. I love my Uzis.

I have heard they are very powerful weapons alone. I've never fired one so I don't know but two for a person so small in the muscular region...it is amazing but then it's the same case as how have wolves survived with nothing to eat in the cave?
Something else only possible in 'Lara-land' (to quote another forum member)
Just found this on another topic, see the pistols just like Snake commented - modified Hi-Powers (or even modified USPs from TRL):

Basic game design rule: make it possible to complete the game with the weakest weapon (which usually requires no ammo/has infinite ammo). Don't make it easy, necessarily...just possible. There's a possiblity that someone will be wasteful with the stronger weapons, so if the game REQUIRED the heavy artillery they'd need to make those infinite ammo as well or risk the gamer getting stuck once the ammo ran out.

Desert Eagle is heavy because it is using a gas-operated mechanism normally found in rifles rather than a standard pistol desgin...but the thing is that because DE is so heavy, the recoil is sorta cancels out since the kick-back force have to overcome the weight of the pistol before it can move the pistol backward...
