Default Sign up now for Back to Basics: Northern Legends

Sign up now for the upcoming Back to Basics: Northern Legends competition!
The registration process will run from now until September 30th, 2012.
The building phase will be approx. 4 months until Jan/Feb 2013. That depends on the amount of people signing up for this and how things are going during the building phase.
Read more about the theme here.

Here's the official Registration thread @ trle.net community forums

For those of you who are new to Back to Basics:
The "Back to Basics" challenge is to build a single level of about one hour net gameplay with every builder using only the supplied wad and texture set for BtB Northern Legends. The levels will be released by the author "BtB 2012". This way reviewers can send in their reviews without favouring any levelbuilder. The builders will be revealed about 2 months after the levels have been released. Until that time, no builders is allowed to give away any information about who built which level. The builders with the highest ratings win the competition.
The players can submit guesses about who built which level and the players who have guessed most levels and builders correctly will win the player's competition.

Back to Basics is targeted at both experienced and unexperienced/new builders. In BtB we will be using an old version of the NGLE (which is much more stable than the original winroomedit but it does not support any of the new TRNG features) in combination with an exe that is slightly patched with TREP so that the exe can handle large levels and detailed objects.
Audio tracks, objects, textures and so on will be part of the BtB package that the builders download. The only tools you may use in this competition to build your level is the supplied version of the NGLE, the converter and tomb4.

I'm looking forward to your applications!
...and of course the wonderful levels you all are going to build! For the past few months a group of very talented people have been working hard to compile the package for this Back to Basics challenge and now the package is very close to completion

Nadine.
