Well then it's not "all of it" then is it? Sure, some parts of history (mainly the older stuff) is a little sketchy.

Ah, history. I still remember my History teacher giving one good advise:
Histories are written by the winners...

I take the "facts" in these books with a grain of salt, but hell, these books are amazing!

a) No it isn't illegal if I remember correctly. I mean wiriting is never supposed to be about fact or whatever, just imagination really. And I think in A & D he had a little note at the front saying which bits were changed slightly for historical inaccuracies... b) 18 quid is a LOT! I don't car how good a book is I won't spend over a tenner for it! Stingy bugger I is! ![]() 3) I liked TheDaVCode but loved A & D. The one thing I have a slight problem with is his use of language. I always find it childish and unimaginative and I struggle half the time to find a word over 6 letters long! Having said that, he sure knows how to write a bestselling book! |

I've read A&D, The da Vinci Code and is now on The Lost Symbol.
I can't decide which one out of the two first ones I love most, but they're both certainly great, well-written and interesting books. All the fact in these books (and it sure is a hell of a lot) are truly amazing... I like Brown's ideas, they're something else, and his way of telling a story is great. I dislike the amount of the REAL plot they took away or "changed" of A&D the movie, though, as many people probably have already said... On average, it was a pretty ok movie, though. As for The da Vince Code, I think it followed the book more correctly and it made a lot more sense than Langdon's confused marathon in Italy in A&D. I hope Dan Brown will write more books with Robert Langdon, I love the character!
