very interesting, i had forgotten about the glasses. I love the little details they put in the games. .such fun. and such fun sleuthing out what they are about.
That silly archaeologist, he should have just let it be. Some are such twits. Ah well. Makes a good story.

well, one of the members here who has it (mau3genius) just walked in to a game store and bought a copy of chronicles. it wasn't until much later that he realized the disk he'd gotten was actually the beta. here's a thread where he talks about it and posts some screens:
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/show...ight=jean+yves and here's the article from TRC about the real jean-yves complaining about being in TR4: http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/headlines500.html

Von Croy's glasses I believe. After Set possessed him his sight might got better. In the last fmv Werner had glasses on (spare pair) because Set left him. My theory.

I suspect he objected because of professional reasons - he didn't want colleagues dismissing his ideas as coming from that "Tomb Raider archaeologist".

Jean's for sure. FMV's have more detailed modeling, to make objects for TR4 is a bit harder, see, a mesh like That(the pickup object for Broken Glasses) was quite difficult to make, and CORE got a little lazy XD

In the Hollywood film version, correct, it was death by snake bite.
Though I much prefer the British humour, ie, the 'Carry on' comedy films, where in 'Carry on Cleo', Cleopatra bites the head off the snake instead
