I think I'm either with those that said that it was another boss prototype for the end of atlantis, or from a level explaining the appearance of dinos. Something else is that if you look,this guy and the anniversary raptors have "spines" on their backbones. Coincidence?

that monster's head looks like those regular atlantean mutants' head. interesting what is the size of that thing?

It's hard to tell from the picture, it's proportions are kind of odd in the first place. I would have hoped they planned to make it oppressively large though.
