I really can't see why someone wouldn't enjoy TRU. Okay, maybe you were disappointed by the game, it was not long enough, not difficult enough, too lineair etc etc. But it was still fun to play.
And I assume that someone who calls Anniversary 'brilliant' will most likely love this game as well. So just get it!

Yes, TRU is fun. If you liked Anniversary, then you should like TRU too imo.

I would play Legend first before you go for Underworld so you can get the full story!

Yes TRU is fun to play, much more fun than TRA, if you play it on the PC you can tame the wild camera a bit by turning the mouse sensitivity down. I never had any trouble with it on the consoles where you do not really need to use the camera that much. The PS2 version is no where near as good as the others, and not as much fun, but still enjoyable.
The bike controls in TRU are much better than in Legend and the next gen versions provide some great "tracks". Or you can go tease Underpus (the kraken) for a bit of excitement. I usually just liked wandering around checking out the scenerary, especially in the underwater sections. You can get that by just watching the previously on Tomb Raider clip provided with Underworld. Thats about as much explanation as to why Lara wants to go search for something as we need.

Compared to TRA it's very fun. However, the game has absolutely no replay value IMO.

Yes, it was fun, but the replay value is shot.

Oh I don't need to buy it, I already bought it.
Ages ago, lol! I'm the slowest tomb raider player ever, I take huge breaks for weeks in between levels. Quite good really, keeps it going for me until the next game comes out, hehe. Although I'll probably play underworld straight through. I've bought a new 23" monitor and have been playing anniversary in 1920x1080, and it'll be the same for underworld. Looks awesome in high res.

Great fun to play and even replay again.
I prefer this game over some of the classics.

i bought it in April but just getting round to playing last week , as with all previous games in the series its fun but can be frustrating at times, i'm playing with keyboard & mouse so although i have really good PC system and game is beautiful, the very annoying camera quirks tend to really pee me off , overall its fun and im sure you'll enjoy it
