^Well I suppose with a keyboard and mouse would be a total nightmare. I'd love to know how anyone would manage that. I've done it on the PC with a controller and PS2 with no problems at all.

![]() Oh that puzzle! I think it's brilliant, but I have to admit I usually just turn some random pillars and see what happens, which can take verrrrry long.. For the time trial, I used the walkthrough on tombraiderchronicles.com. ![]() Quote:
Thinking about having to do that with a keyboard and mouse will give me nightmares for sure.

I must just have really good left to right analogue stick - Lara control to camera control coordination.

It's weird because on both the 360, and the PC I've never had any trouble with this level.

Hmm... I had a thread about this:
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=158551 One of the points I made was that the camera seems to go bonkers if you deviate from the intended route, at least for me it did. When I used the poles the camera was fine. Maybe it should get stickied? Seems to come up a lot.

I hate how camera the camera will turn automatically. This was incredibly frustrating with the Palace Midas spike room. I plan how I'm gonna move the camera as I'm going and it messes everything up when it moves for me.
![]() Does anyone have any ideas on why they did this?

I got so frustrated I wanted to kill... everything the first time I played the part you're talking about. The only thing I found to do is not fight it and get used to maneuvering her from a semi-birds eye view. The first time it took me like 10 tries. Then on my 2nd run through the game I did it on the first try. Go figure!

Same here. I actually had to go to Stella's walkthroughs and check how to solve it fast to be able to finish that time trial. I don't get why the PC version is harder; must be the controls.

I could eventually get past that third platform on the PC using either keyboard and mouse or a controller and could do it both the expected way and jumping across to the grapple point. Still I cannot say it was any easier on the PC no matter how I did it, but then my hands are not the best so maybe it was me. I do not replay the PC version unless I am after screenshots, the Xbox360 version is a lot better, except for one bug in the Manor pool area and that someone forgot to put a start new game option in there.
It seems I will likely replay the Wii version when I eventually finish it, its been great so far, but then I am not up to that third platform yet.I think for some reason the timing was out on the PC version for that third platform, the first grapple point vanishes too fast. You seem to get more time on the Xbox360 version. Its been ages since I played the PS2 version so could not say but it only took me 10 odd attempts and most of them were being blown of the platform by those flying pests. If I play the game enough the mystery of the Egyptian rotating trick should be solved, surely it cannot be that hard to work out how to do it in a few turns. I just have not turned them enough yet to get it. Few more years I should have it! I refuse to use a walkthrough.
