It's not that, Amiro. It's purely a simple case of taking one's own medicine here. As Super Badnik said before, it's just humorous how when Underworld's DLC was an Xbox 360 exclusive, it was the biggest injustice. Now, when someone asks what if Tomb Raider started to be a PS3 exclusive, all those people who were like "Oh, it's not fair that the PS3 gamers are missing out" and all that are now like "WTF that's not fair!"

Hypocriticism in some aspects, yes. Karma (for lack of a better term) in another, most definitely.

Sony had the exclusive for ages. As I said before, when Sony had the exclusive, TR was at its prime. It's only natural for people to associate that success with Sony. Their confidence in Sony shouldn't be so quickly judged as Anti-XBOX.

Though, I admit there are hypocrites~, there are other factors to consider. The same way people were stoked about XBOX because they thought that Microsoft wanting an exclusive meant back to stardom for Tomb Raider.

If someone is interested in making it "theirs", then it must be important.

I suppose to someone really young 2 years is ages, it is not that long at all, certainly not "ages". It was announced just before TR2 came out that Sony had their exclusive deal, which had no effect on the PC version, it lasted 2 games. TR4 and TR5 were released on PC, PS1 and Sega Dreamcast. Sony made the mistake of wanting an exclusive Tomb Raider deal for the PS2 with AOD, they lost interest in Tomb Raider after that and have obviously yet to regain it.

Regardless of contenders, Lara was Playstation's icon. When people think of Tomb Raider, they think of Playstation. It is a natural perspective to think Tomb Raider + Sony = success and relate to it, and to want that again. It is not hypocritical nor does it mean anti-XBOX. I honestly don't know how many times I have to repeat myself before your reading comprehension kicks in.

It has nothing to do with your ~Sony made a mistake/they're not interested tangent. I don't care if Sony's interested. I'm offering another perspective to people calling others hypocrites without considering that liking apples doesn't mean you're hating on oranges.

Funny, because when you think about it, TR:AOD sold 2 million copies solely on the PC and the PS2. I never took the time to think about that. What an interesting flop... (it was more critical than commercial I know that).

Well, there will always be folks who just enjoy that they have something that others don't.

No, sorry, not for me.
I agree with you. That argument is false. Also, what about the PC players (and Wii/PS2), what have they done to 'deserve' this?

Hmm, I don't find that hypocrite. Yes I as a 360 player feel bad that other players can't have the opportunity to play the DLC. We have all bought the same game, only the 360 players get more. (On the other hand, exclusive DLC is not a new thing. And we did pay money to play it.) Of course I will be ****ed off if Tomb Raider becomes a PS exclusive. This isn't just DLC we are talking about, it's a whole game! Besides, we (as in 360 players) had the game before so it would indeed be strange and unfair if they took it from us again. The PS3'ers never had the DLC in the first place.

Uh, didn't they focus on the 360 for Underworld only to have the game sell more on Playstation? Probably PS3 would be more likely, but still not gonna happen.

I wouldn't mind it going exclusive on either, as I have both. In fact I'd welcome it, not to upset people, but I have yet to play a platform exclusive game that has sucked.

I think the question should be more about "What would you do if TR strengthened it's links with Sony/Playstation?" It's clear from DLC etc... that, well, lets just say, Sony is not in bed with TR right right now...

The TRA unlockable commentaries (or was it the movie DVD?) showed that Sony was good for TR business and TR was good business for Sony.

Sony seem to have found their flagship game - Drake. This is the game which technologically sets the standards of what we can expect of gaming in the next 5 years (at least on the Sony platform)

It's no coincidence - it is Sony's attempt to showcase what the PS can do, and encourage more games developers to consider choosing PS as a platform when bringing a product to market.

Of course, I'd be happy to see TR being better connected to Sony, and no more of these "ported out" games nonsenses. I think with Sony PS it has been kind of like "slow and steady wins the race" and Sony's finest hours is yet to come. Question is, will TR be a part of it?
