^Congratulations on having the ****ing patience on completing it with a keyboard and mouse, Aussie500. I wouldn't even try it. Using my right hand to press the keys, left to jump and throw the grapple, then quickly go to the mouse to angle the camera, then quickly going back to the keys and judging whether I would have to press either up or left, left or down, down or right or right or up, because of the the camera angle in order to get her to go the right way. Or even using my left hand to move and right hand to shoot the Atlanteans. CD's games are NOT keyboard and mouse friendly. So I think in this day and age it must be vital to use a controller if you're a PC player.

Then on my 2nd run through the game I did it on the first try. Go figure!
I feel like e-mailing CD right now and asking them directly why they put those fixed camera angles in. They are certainly NOT helpful.

That's how I'm doing it, mouse and keyboard. It's tricky getting the fingers to manoeuvre fast between jump, grapple and direction, from one grapple ring straight to the next and with changing camera angles.
To do this, I use WASD for directions, space bar for grab, Q for grapple, right mouse for jump, E for shimmying fast round ledges. If I think too hard about it I mess up, but if I let my fingers just feel their way, it's often a bit more successful.

I didn't find this bit difficult at all

the climbing was easy, but when you got onto the platforms and the flying things came at you I would always get knocked off by their fireballs

I don't really know how you play it
It was pretty easy with keyboard-mouse, at least for me.

My left hand moving Lara around, jumping, grapple, etc... and the right one always on my mouse controlling the camera. I did it in a few tries .)

TRA and hard should not be in the same sentence. Haha! I'm just kidding. I fell a few times at that part, as well.

You can do nearly everything with your left hand, you would only be using the right side of the keyboard if you were left handed and wanted to use the mouse with your left hand. The mouse is your camera (which you would usually use to control Lara's direction), and for me also controlled shooting. Not sure what camera angles you mean but usually when the camera took off on its own it was to give you a better view so you knew where you were going. Usually happened when wall running.

The easiest way to play TRA on the PC is mouse and keyboard, especially if you want more control over the camera. Unfortunately I have trouble with my hands which usually makes it very hard for me to co-ordinate the fingers without actually watching them, so occasionally I resort to the gamepad. Still for TRA and TRU I prefer the keyboard and mouse, For Legend it is easier at least for me with the control pad, although I have also played the entire game with keyboard and mouse just to get used to it. Legend was the first game I ever played with WASD controls and mouse, I am usually a console player and just about the only games I play on the PC are small addictive things like popcap games and Tomb Raider games. Now AOD is a mouse unfriendly game, in the end I resorted to not touching the mouse at all while playing.

Oooh, final conflict. Been trying to figure out why I can't damage the sloath's health bar after each successful adrenaline dodge, but it seems I have to then shoot at the red target on his hand, or something like that?

edit: Oh, done it. Not so hard. But it's still not the end yet, I thought it was, lol.

Well I could NEVER do all that with one hand ever. TR1-6 is definitely more keyboard friendly.
