What I can definitely tell you is that it's not a mistake on their side. But as for an explanation, I would have to look it up myself.

This is the best I could come up with from this site:
‘Weak masculine’ nouns also fall into this group. These nouns take an -(e)n ending in the plural and also in all singular cases other than the nominative (i.e. the accusative, dative and genitive).

And a bit more detailed here.
I hope this helps a little.

hehe,

As a German, my grammar knowledge of German is worse then for any second etc. language.
This is an occasion where I usually go by "feeling for the language" instead of by "the rules".
To me too many of them "very details rules" feel like "made up", like very ugly constructions with too many exceptions for exceptions to be any helpful, just to have a rule at all.
And my bet is not more than 1 or maybe 2 % of German German teachers would be able to answer your question fully from the top of their head.
And those maybe better conentrated on other fields of their job, like, teaching skills.

You want to avoid words ending in schn, kn, pn, tn, bn, dn, ...
What's the word for those consonants you really can't pronounce without making use of a vowel sound. (like T, as oposed to S) ?

Not sure if there are imported words that do it ("pawn ), but you do definitely not want to create words ending in schn, pn, etc. by following declension / etc. rules.

Ah, weak masculine nouns... Never heard of 'em. But thanks, yes, that made it clear!

I agree, I'm Swiss myself but I'd take Germany's German over Switzerland's German any day.

hmmm,
der die das are very strange in german

For Example:

Ich sehe die Lampe
I see the lamp
Das Licht der Lampe
The light of the lamp

Die Blume riecht gut
The flower smells well
Der Duft der Blume ist gut
The aroma of the flower is good

"Der" - "He"
"Die" - "She"
"Das" - "It"

Here's a list of some words, that use "die"
die Lampe - the lamp
die Tastatur - the keyboard (computer)
die Uhr - the clock
die Figur - the figure
die kerze - the candle
die Welt - the world
die Erde - the earth

Here are some words that use "das"
das Spiel - the game
das Buch - the book
das Lineal - the ruler
das Radiergummi - the eraser

Hallo, ich habe eine Ubersetzung schwierigkeit und es sagt nichts in meinen Wörterbuch und LEO sagt nichts also ich frage ihr:

Wie sagt man: 'To share an experience with smth'?
Oder: 'In order to share the experience of reading the same books as your friends'.

Meine Deutsch...besonders Grammatik ist nicht so gut aber Ich hoffe dass ihr verstandt mich.
