hmm... guess i know!
open your export script via notepad. run search and type Code:
indexBone = boneNameList.index(boneName) Code:
# and remove it ![]() as for me- i made separate version of this script! because this problem heppens often to me. if you want to make new script for it- just copy your script , rename it to "name of script debug" than open it in notepad, and change name Code:
Name: 'MeshAsciiExt (*.mesh.ascii)' Code:
Name: 'MeshAsciiExtDeBug (*.mesh.ascii)' now. open your blender and export your model via DeBug script. it should show you all vertex groups names(bones). the last before error will wrong. you should find this vertex group in your model and remove! error happens because script look for the vertex group, but cant find the same name of bone. it also heppens when you trying to put some purts og Doppy on Lara's armature. its a bit different, and you should rename some bones before export. ![]() good luck!

why go through all those complications? just manually remove all the bone weight groups that you know that they don't have bones, meaning, there are the bone weight groups, but they don't have matching bones.
