hmm... guess i know!

open your export script via notepad.
run search and type
Code:
indexBone = boneNameList.index(boneName)
than select
Code:
#
( with SPACE!)
and remove it



as for me- i made separate version of this script! because this problem heppens often to me.

if you want to make new script for it- just copy your script , rename it to "name of script debug"
than open it in notepad, and change name
Code:
Name: 'MeshAsciiExt (*.mesh.ascii)'
to
Code:
Name: 'MeshAsciiExtDeBug (*.mesh.ascii)'
and use it.


now. open your blender and export your model via DeBug script.
it should show you all vertex groups names(bones). the last before error will wrong. you should find this vertex group in your model and remove!
error happens because script look for the vertex group, but cant find the same name of bone.

it also heppens when you trying to put some purts og Doppy on Lara's armature. its a bit different, and you should rename some bones before export.

why go through all those complications? just manually remove all the bone weight groups that you know that they don't have bones, meaning, there are the bone weight groups, but they don't have matching bones.

I have a problem

When I import the DLC shorts in Blender, 2 verts automatically join theirself!

try to move it ( verts ) in blender...
and i thing its happens not automatically
did you use remove doubles?

No I diden't... I see that this happen as soon as I import the model in blender...

No they are DLC shorts....
Is there anyone who can help me? I can't continue my mesh mod if I have this bug!

Do not Hit Remove Double Do not use the importer by sephirostoy. Use my modification from this importer.
Or switch to the Edit SubMode und split the parts, or use the shorts of my MOD

OR fix the BUG:


Select <RMB> the shorts. Switch wit <Tab> to the Edit Mode. Switch to solide Mode. Triangle. Select this face and hit Parent


Switch with <Tab> to the Object Mode. <RMB> to the shorts. Hold <Shift> down and <RMB> to the parented face. Hit Join


Select this 2 faces (<RMB> <Shift> <RMB>) Choose this settings:


Maybe, use now the weight paint mode.

Finish :-)
