speaking of learning, are there any elaborate extract/rigging tutorial using blender we can follow? if possible a video tutorial would be great. would love to try my luck at this as well

Other than your Umodel tutorial, I haven't figured out where to start yet. Learning that stuff will be my next goal after I finish some mesh projects.... hopefully.
