I've always liked their football. Sure, it's a bit boring at times with the never ending passing, but they're a great team.

They didn't really do anything to Portugal, though. Spain won with penalties. It was a matter of luck, really.

Think the other way:

Spain played negative football against Portugal to stop their wave of attacks and Spanish intention was to bring the match to tie-break. Surely Casillas was much better keeper than Lui Patricio.

I can almost guarantee that the final will be boring - because Spain are involved. Unfortunately, if it is boring, Italy will get the blame because they have a reputation for being negative, despite the fact that they've been one of the most exciting teams this tournament.

^Spot on. I find it highly ironic that Italy is one of the most attacking teams on the tournament. It really shows how european football has changed.

The reason I want Italy to win is not because I want revenge for the semis, it's purely because they deserve it. Spain hasn't done anything particularly good to be where they are now. They've been on the easiest group, got an extremely weak France in the quarters, and the only really tough games they played, they couldn't win (against Italy in group stage and in the semis). They've had what I call "winner's luck".

^ Spain are doing something like what Greece did in 2004. Defend all the time, score one, get the win. The difference is, Greece is not a high class team from the beginning. So a low-class team can do this. But with so many 5 star player, I don't know why Spain has to do that palystyle.

Oh BTW, Germany never beaten Italy in a competition. Spain also didn't beat Italy in a competition in 120 minutes playtime. Only time they beat Italy was in a tie-break in 2008 EURO.
