No, but is that the idea, to get out unscathed?
I assume you mean that dark room with the multiple switches? It's unnecessary padding, I genuinely can't stand that bit, the same applies to faffing about in the tree (that somehow has a live raptor running about in the branches ) to shoot that raptor corpse. That entire section is a simple task made laborious.

I figured out how to do that room on my second playthrough, by avoiding it altogether and jumping straight on to the plane. It's not a challenging room, too much monkey swinging is just boring.

He was actually. I killed him the same way I did in TR1 & 2, by standing in the narrow doorway to the stairs. You're completely untouchable.

At least the monkey bar room makes you think what's next. I don't understand what's everyone's problem with it. If you're as great of a payer as you say you are it shouldn't cause you a headache.

And well that's the sissy way of killing the T-rex.

Can't we at least kill Temple of Puna before Lud's Gate. My faith in TRF will be lost if we don't. It'll also be lost if Nevada Desert continues to refuse to die.

May I just say the only reason I'm voting down Lud's Gate is because it's a bit bland for my tastes. The level itself is actually not that hard.
I enjoy Crash Site because it has all sorts of different areas and it looks like more work went into making it. From a builder's point of view...

Because there's nothing else to do while you moving along at a snail's pace.

The shortcut to skip it is just a lucky coincidence because I find that particular section boring. I can think of a good few other sections on other levels I'd happily skip if a 'easy' shortcut was available.

Not when you're using nothing but pistols it isn't
I don't stay in that cubbyhole all the time though, as anyone knows, you have to venture out into the open to lure the T-Rex towards you.
