I you have used the tool provided in the opening post to extract the model, make sure you tick "Textures" upon extraction

It will depend on the UDK on how and if the textures are automatically applied, it sounds like you will need to do some work (if you have extracted them successfully in the first place).

Welcome to the forums GamerSuper

There's talk of Deus Ex here, so might be best to continue there

Hi,

I realize this is an old thread but I've only just started playing with the TRU Unpacker and was wondering if anyone knows why I'm having this problem with the skin weights (.dae import to blender 2.63)?

Perhaps because:

The problem is that the system is different from the usual bones mechanism implemented e.g. in Blender.
So even though I am able to import all the data into Blender, the body doesn't move correctly. The data is correct, it's just the Blender's algorithm that doesn't seem to be compatible with it.

Anyway... I tried to quickly implement my own skinning algorithm that would suite the TRU data.
And it works!

The problem is that I will probably have to write my own program to pose the model any way I want since Blender doesn't seem to be the right choice this time... that's rather disappointing.

Here are some screenshots of the latest results (imported to Blender):

Save the model with unpackTRU as .mesh.ascii with this settings:

And import this format inside Blender 2.6x with this importer http://www27.zippyshare.com/v/27747054/file.html
