Loving the Nintendo DS version of this game
So i downloaded a Nintendo DS emulator on my android phone the other day and played Tomb Raider Underworld on it.
And what a suprise it's actually an "okay" game for a handheld game. It remained true to the Underworld story with some cuts and stuff... Gotta love these pre recorded cutscenes: http://i.imgur.com/rPDVVM1.png http://i.imgur.com/xtsUijr.png I cant believe they really did some location concept for these nintendo DS levels: http://i.imgur.com/e6RVoSe.png http://i.imgur.com/VQyZwmN.png http://i.imgur.com/V7kst5f.png http://i.imgur.com/L1qhfPo.png And some locations that stay true to the console/PC versions: http://i.imgur.com/SKQ3ac0.png http://i.imgur.com/dfXZtQt.png http://i.imgur.com/TlMQOcc.png Nintendo DS version also reveals some BETA content from the console version thanks to it's pre recorded cutscenes Hmmm Lara's PDA looks different here ( Beta Version cutscene? ): http://i.imgur.com/7gFHtEF.png Thor's Hammah floating: http://i.imgur.com/Qn7XiXm.png Ohhh.. the path is not broken thanks to the missing swinging hammers: http://i.imgur.com/KZhlbYE.png And some Extra gameplay After getting Thor's hammah the level will not end.. you will have to find a way back: http://i.imgur.com/nZ5ZQeV.png http://i.imgur.com/C030fsO.png And some other things Some new moves are also here like perching on top of a swinging pole and free climbing: http://i.imgur.com/0jZIm40.png Them Thralls have swords!! http://i.imgur.com/YNPK39o.png And the Yeti has fur hahaha: http://i.imgur.com/ryoHRrz.png Ohh! you can also explore Natla's prison in it's 3D-ish/2D glory: http://i.imgur.com/cDRAjUZ.png More differences but i didn't have a screenshot of it - Croft Manor mini games where you have to save Zip and Winston from the Fire - Shoot endless swarm of bats mini game in Mexico level - Short puzzle mini game to open a treasure chest - Archaeological mini games where you use the microphone on your device and use in game archaeological tools - in the cutscene where Lara tries to turn the light on in the crypt in the beginning of Croft manor. the light actually TURNED ON but she turned it off and used the flashlight with Zip and Alister instead just like the console/pc version Overall the Nintendo DS version experience was really great. It feels like it was a different Underworld game.. Anyone here played underoworld on NDS? What do you think? Last edited by kevindatsun; 21-02-17 at 16:46. |

It's very overlooked, isn't it? But a really good version of the game I spent probably more hours on this version of the game than the main.

I have also bought the DS version of Underworld... It's an enjoyable game, and, considering it's for a handheld console, they did a pretty impressive job The only 'disadvantage' is that it's really short (you can complete it with all artifacts acquired and all treasures solved in under 3 hours).

I'm now at the final level guys. Wow! You could actually kill Lara's mother in a ingame QTE!
And there's also a Natla Boss fight. This NDS version sure does have potential.. <3 |

I LOVED the DS version, to be honest, its a completely different game to the PC underworld just with a similar story. You also don't unlock every weapon at the beginning of the game on the DS version.

Yes the story is the same but the locations is really really super different!! It also has fun mini games in each location which is kinda unique to make use of the DS toucscreen ^_^

The DS version of Underworld was, for me, the best version of the game. It was a lot of fun to play, wasn't buggy, and it was incredibly satisfying to be in control and actively shoot Amelia in the face and have the results play out in cutscene after.

I actually played the DS version first for some reason and then once I played Underworld on PC I was so shocked on how different they were.
