It would be great if trsearch supported adding tech demos, so people could upload their projects with tutorials. It would help setting up some more complex puzzles, scripts et cetera.
This is an example of such case:

Of course I have already asked Michael Prager to add the new category, but seriously I don't think that will stop some individuals like manarch2 from trashing them.

If trsearch had an option to upload such tech demos (it already has a category for projects) then it would fix the problem entirely, since technical demos would get their place next to other TRLE assets and tutorials.

In the new version of the aspidetr.com website (long since WIP, now in standby due to TRsearch XD ) we have inserted also new levels categories like "Demo", but I agree with you that the better place for these "Tech Demos" is TRsearch, where people could upload their projects with tutorials etc, here will be more usefull and will be reviewed not like a normal levels but for the ideas/technicalities etc.

In some cases these links are not available anymore and a lot of bigger, more interesting objects are lost, since they weren't uploaded to trsearch directly.

No problem to extend the limit of the files size, but it should be said that over some size there is a real problem to managing the automatic upload by the user, however the problem is easily bypassable sending the larger files directly to us. I agree with you, like you said it's better to avoid that the people insert .txt file with external download links that could no be longer available, better keep the stuff/resource in the archive on TRsearch.

Regarding the TRsearch website we are constantly working on it (always compatibly with our work), we will keep you up to date

I'd second the idea on larger file uploads, also perhaps on an item information page, aside from the main image, we could include more than one image to show the objects. That and I found the search function for some things to not be entirely accurate.

It would be really cool if you'd add the ability for authors to delete their own uploads. There were some outfits I made much better updates for later on but there was no function for me to take down my own items.

^ I would be careful with deleting things though. If someone hacked an account this would mean his all stuff gone. Maybe instead add a "submit to delete" option and an admin would check if the IP (or sth) is correct..? This would also make people think twice before deleting their own stuff (some ppl rage quit from TRLE community every few weeks and each time delete their stuff).

Also it would be good to make people be able to update their objects, so this way it wouldn't be necessary to upload each updated object as a new item.

This.
People rage-quitting and deleting their stuff has happened several times, it's useless. It's not because you don't like what you had made in the past that other people won't like it. And if you're better than you were in the past, it will just show your progression. I really hope such a feature won't be added.

Indeed, if there's really a room for improvement, then an update button would be more than enough. And even then I would make it so each update had to be confirmed by a moderator.

Is anyone else unable to reach TRSearch this morning? My browser never times out, but all I get is an endlessly spinning loading circle.
