From what I remember of when I played the PC demo, you have to find a way to clear the keyboard/mouse controls from being an option, and it will be forced to display the X360 buttons.

Nope.
You just have to memorise the buttons, much like PS1 games

Actually, I just downloaded the demo to check.

It's... really dumb, but you can "trick" the game into clearing the keys. It looks like TR:A won't let you clear the "Walk" key, so that's what I used for my example.

You need to go to configure the "Walk" key enter a key that's already set to another key. (For example, Ctrl, B, +, etc.) The key that used to be attached to that control will be cleared, and the game will be forced to display Xbox 360 button names in prompts. However, menu prompts will still reference keyboard keys.

(e.g., the menu will tell you "Esc - Cancel, Enter - Select" but the game will tell you "Press the A Button to jump off of ladders.")

To clear keys like Esc that don't "let" you clear them, you need to enter 3 different keys on the button configured as Esc and then do the above to clear those keys, then set the key that was once set to Esc with the button you want. Hope that makes sense.

And to be clear, you can do the same for TR:L. But that's less helpful because it says "Button 0, Button 1, Button 2," etc.
