Im surprised that photo mode in this day and age, isnt considered standard.
Almost every new game puts a lot of focus on graphics, its one of the major points in marketing etc. So you would think a photo mode is in every game to showcase the graphical greatness of a game. I hope the next tomb raider game has a photo mode, the locations are so incredible stunning in ROTTR...it would be a shame not to include one. |

I want them to implement Nvidia Ansel support which is even better than the standard photo modes of other games.

AMD users and PS4/XB1 users can't use Ansel. |

Of course, consoles and AMD users can get a standard free moving camera. |

I play games to play games. I don't play them for the "extras." I'm not a completionist. I don't do challenge modes. I don't care for anything but the game. Therefore I think photo mode is unnecessary and it should not be a part of the game.

Then it's just a feature you don't have to use. Just like challenges and secrets and collectibles. They're there for the people that want to use them. Same thing with the Photo mode

I don't use Photo Mode, I think I used it once in the Uncharted Collection but then forgot about it however I don't see the problem with them including it into Shadow. I also love coming on here and seeing images other plays have captured during their playthrough.
As others have said, if you dislike it then simply don't use it, like I do. It's really not a big deal lol. |

What's up with the hate for optional stuff anyway? I never got it. When I was younger, I played a lot of PC games that had online multiplayer, but since I didn't want to play against others back then, I simply ignored these modes. If anything, I set up private matches and explored the maps. But I never thought to myself "Dang it, why does this game have a multiplayer mode if I'm not interested in multiplayer?"
Besides, I'm pretty sure that everyone at one point has taken a screenshot in a game, especially since nowadays even consoles have this feature built in. |
