As I see it for Emma this film is an origin story presumably the one that will turn an unlikely highly educated heiress into a hardened tom boyish adventurer. To me Emma still has the innocence and purity to portray the role and be able to believable craft herself into a "hardened adventurer" and transission from girl to woman during the course of the film.
I think it's because she has only played a young girl in her movies and never got to the defining stage where she became an adult in her movies. Especially in the Harry Potter series where they are intended to stay like teenagers in there performance and there is no transitional phase into a full fledged adult which I think is what partly sells them. Now it may all change when Emma brings out her new movie Perks of being a wallflower because she plays a struggling rape victim so it may be the phase in her career likened to Angelina's Girl Interupted role and if the film is really good and compelling and not just a mindless teenager flick she could even go on to win an award. |

Emma should go for it if she wants . .I just feel they in some cases are just trying to stick a famous face in their to arouse interest which for me kinda sucks.

I know how you feel ideally I'd like Olivia Wilde but she's too old and the film still needs to be sold so bringing in a younger actress who is recognisable will still bring in an audience. Unless it goes all out with it's production team and get's a high profile writter/director being a smaller studio.

I think she has the look and I'm sure she could pull it off. I think this has been the most sensible suggestion yet she works

I thought that too she just 26 years old and she has the look as you said and looking through the interview she said
""your character Temperance was looking very Lara Croft/Tomb Raider-esque..."" -Oooo...! I'm into that. |
