Default Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows"

Burton is weirding it up, so I already don't like this. What's your take?

Anyone watch the original or the 90's remake?

lol @ the reason of edit.

I can't view youtube so I can't view the trailer.

Just some info on wiki:

Quote:
Dark Shadows is an upcoming fantasy comedy film based on the 1966–1971 gothic soap opera of the same name. The film is directed by Tim Burton and stars Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins, a 200-year-old vampire, and Michelle Pfeiffer as his cousin Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, a reclusive matriarch of the Collins family. It is scheduled to be released on May 11, 2012[1] in both conventional and IMAX theaters.[2]

Synopsis

In 1752, the Collins family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, Barnabas, grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and is the master of Collinwood Manor. He breaks the heart of a witch, Angelique Bouchard, who turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. In 1972, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his coffin and returns to find his once-magnificent mansion in ruin. The manor is currently occupied by Barnabas' dysfunctional descendants, all of whom are hiding dark and horrifying secrets. [3]
Never seen or heard of it before though.

tbh, it looks recycled from his other movies, but... that doesn't mean anything. it looks funny, so i may go see it.

Well that's the problem, the show was never really meant to be funny in the first place. I guess in Burton's mind, this film ain't nothing aside from a parody of itself.

Meh, I think it looks incredibly stupid and I am getting sick of the way Tim Burton makes his characters look and his over usage of Johnny Depp (despite liking Depp).

I wish he would go back to making original films instead of remaking **** or adapting ****. Tim, y u no original no moar?!

Don't get me wrong, he has had quite a few good adaption. Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Sweeney Todd. But Alice in Wonderland was tripe, and it seems like he is only interested in adapting things now as opposed to making his own original stuff.

He's even remaking one of his own films and that pisses me off. The original was amazing, and he needs to stop trying to capitalize off of Nightmare's stop motion.

I miss old Burton.

It's a nice movie but I'm really annoyed how they edit that film though. At one time, Depp was throwing away bloody body parts at the tree (?) and his shirt was stained by blood. A second later in another screen, it was all clean! Poor, poor edit! Talk about taking you out of the movie experience.

Might just be me..
