I tried the files you and Daventry suggested: import/export mesh extended but I got the same recult, a static model without bones
I also tried with the latest blender, I thought that perhaps the old version (blender248a) still used the first import/exporter files I copied over, but in that version there is no script folder???? very weird. I would love so much to be able to do meshmod, but it seams impossible

OR fix the BUG:


Select <RMB> the shorts. Switch wit <Tab> to the Edit Mode. Switch to solide Mode. Triangle. Select this face and hit Parent


Switch with <Tab> to the Object Mode. <RMB> to the shorts. Hold <Shift> down and <RMB> to the parented face. Hit Join


Select this 2 faces (<RMB> <Shift> <RMB>) Choose this settings:


Maybe, use now the weight paint mode.

Finish :-)

Benützt die Systemsteuerung um versteckte Ordner sichbar zu machen.

Für Blender 2.5 ist der Import/Export Ordner bei: trunk\2.53\scripts\io
Allerdings benötigen die Skripte dafür einige Änderungen.

Sind in Blender die Knochen zu sehen?

Use the control Center and mark "Show hidden folder" !

Blender version 2.5 use this folder: trunk\2.53\scripts\io
The importer/exporter scripts need some little changes :-( to works with Blender 2.5 ! Read the console errors ;-)

Display Blender the armature ?

I downloaded and installed blender 2.53 but I still can't find the script folder. I have Windows 64bit.
I have searched the places you told me about and everywhere else I can think of, but no script file. I also marked show hidden folder with no result.
I searched for a download link for the older version 248.a but didn't find any. I thought that perhaps it would work if I reinstalled that version.

I made it! My first blender meshmod!!!
I tried with 2.49b, and that wersion had a script-folder that was easy to find
I tried with a dlc model first but got a wery weird result, the bones were in stange places and it was impossible to pose. Then I tried with the wetsuit model and it worked. I removed the gear and collar. I hope I can learn more advanced things, starting with how to remove just a part of the bangs, and just a part of the metal. Thanks for helping me!

Ok, so I'm modding an outfit (jungle heavy unzipped by AtlantB) and I'm trying to remove the backpack... I did as ClankDaxter said,

x_backring_0.1_0_0
and etc.

But when I use the MeshAsciiToBin, the model loads in XNA Lara, but does not appear, help?

Blender 2.49b (stable) with my published scripts.
Thanks to Dusan for make this scripts
Thanks sephirostoy to extend this scripts with bone support
My changes are only for Generic_Item support ;-)


I use 2.53 trunk 30918 and the folder is trunk\2.53\scripts\io
I have not found the time to make needet change for blender 2.53.
