Wadmerger exports animations as .trw files. Nothing else. You do this from the Animation dropdown menu.

TRViewer can export animations to .3ds format so they can be opened by 3ds max. Consult this for details.

Actually, WadMerger is able to export objects as .MQO files and was already able to even before Paolone's fixes.

But indeed, .MQO files don't store any animation, as MetaSequoia isn't made for animation.
So you can either export .TRW files from WadMerger (if the exported animation is corrupted, close and re-open WadMerger and export again), or .3DS files from TRViewer. TRViewer opens .TR4 files and not .WAD files though.

I said it only exports animations as .trw files. Not that it can't export mqo.
