Windows 7 Problems...
Hey guys,
I remember a lot of people had this problem I while ago but I am having it now and I cannot fix it... I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 on it. When I texture rooms in face edit, huge chunks of my room go white and I cannot texture them... in XP compatibility mode, it is somewhat better, but every time I apply a texture other parts of the room will go white... in Windows 7 mode it is the worst. Is there a way to fix this? Please help! |

I don't think so. I have this problem too but if you rotate the room in the editor it'll return it to what it actually is. It gets annoying sometimes because it happens constantly but I dont know if there's a pernament fix for it.

I had that problem, I used the editor from NG Center, I just changed to the one from the folder, sometimes it still happens, but it's not so much as it was when I used it from NG center.

I have that same problem on my Vista computer (so I still use my old XP comp for levelbuilding...) and setting compatibility mode does not work for me either.
I always run the editor from a shortcut on my desktiop, I never start it from NG-Center. In fact, I never start a program from NG-Center... |

Don't you just change the Windows Compatabilty to Windows 95? Works fine on my Windows 7 laptop.

I had that problem on Windows 7 for the first time the other day (Windows 7 is on my work computer) but never had it on my old Vista and so far (touch wood) haven't had it on Windows 8 (my home computer).
When it happened on Win7 I was using an old version of NGLE (for Back to Basics 2013) and it was really bad - as soon as I clicked on a square it turned white and on turning the rooms loads of it turned white. I tried compatibility with XP and 98 but it didn't make any difference. Yet I am using the same NGLE and wad, map etc. on my home computer Win8 and it's fine. |
